how's chest training going?? I remember your post from a while back. If you answer yes to my question then 5 days is working for you.. if not give some more info for everyone. a 5 day split is not neccesary but can be done and can be done well.

If you don't have time for 5 then do three or four. Remember sometimes less is more...that is if you train with lots of intensity.

I won't list my routine because I have developed it solely for my own use coming from years of experience. When deciding how much you should train, you should really listen to your body to tell if you're overtraining. If you're gaining good size on 5 days a week, why stop? If you're not, then you might want to reevaluate your training frequency. Personally, I like to use a 4 day split, taking Wednesday and weekends off. I feel that this is ideal for myself. However, not having trained with you, I cannot evaluate your program. However, you should periodize your training by taking a period of training five days a week, maybe switch it to 3 days a week for maybe 3-4 weeks, and then 4 days a week for 3-4 weeks. Evaluate your gains in each period and document. You might just discover on your own what works best for you.

It depends what kind of training you do. If your body can fully recover by working out 5 days a week, all I have to say is you've got a gift. Sure, take advantage of it. At the intensity I train, I can only workout 2-3 times a week. ------------------ |
