Just curious -to hear results from people who set -out to lean out and get that 6-pack comin through hard...Anyone who feels they accomplished that goal - If you could tell me how many weeks it took you, start weight/finish weight , amounts of cardio, etc.. all that - plus tell me how good it made you feel to acomplish that.. I realize everyone's results will vary and they are all independent .. but I would like to hear some success stories.. JerseyMuscle Jersey

Hope this helps you reach your goal. I started working out after a total knee replacement January 2000. 39 years old at 242 pounds, body fat over 30%. I started losing a lot of weight when I increased my cardio to 5 or 6 days a week from 30 to 45 minutes. Weights also on most days. Today I'm 186 pounds 5'11" approximately 10% body fat. Currently, I do three days cardio Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, (spinning class). Weights Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Basically following Bill Phillips Body for Life Program. It's a 12 week program I'm finishing up week 5, and have seen noticeable results in my abdominals by training this way. Also, most days 4-5 days I do abs. It's great to see my abs and this is something I've been looking forward to for a long time. Of course, eating habits are very important. Six small meals per day. I try not to go more than 3 hours without food. A meal consisting of protein, carbs, and fat. I also make sure I have a minimum of two servings of "good" vegetables daily. I always workout on a empty stomach at 5:30 AM weekdays 7:00 AM on Saturday. A protein shake (1st meal of the day) within 1 hour of finishing my workout. Weight days immediately following the workout, cardio days 1 hour after so I can continue to burn fat for that additional hour. I've tried to increase my protein to a least 200 grams per day, so as to not lose muscle. Train hard, force yourself to reach within and give it everything you've got and you'll get there also. The rewards are immeasurable.
