is it okay to mix creatine and protein in a shake together or is it better to mix the creatine w/ grapejuice? ------------------

Taking the creatine with food (protein shake)could affect how the creatine is absorbed into your gut.

go with the grapw juice, it transports better than with the shake, im not saying you cant take it with a shake, but it probably wont absorb it as well.

That's the big problem. After your workout, what do you take: protein and carbs, or creatine and carbs? You need the protein to fight off the cortisol, but you want to take the creatine also...

USE BOTH METHODS. AFTER YOUR WORKOUT USE BOTH CREATINE AND PROTIEN. SOME PEOPLE USE CREATINE IMMEDIATELY AFTER WORKOUT AND ABOUT 30 MINUTES OR SO HAVE A PROTIEN MEAL OR SHAKE. BASICALLY IT DOES NOT MATTER HOW YOU CONSUME IT. THE ONLY THING WITH CREATINE IS TO ADD IN DEXTROSE AT APP.75 G PER DRINK.

1g dextrose per kg lean body mass with 1/3 to 1/2 that in grams of protein from whey with 5-8g creatine = post workout shake

Take the creatine with grape juice right after the workout, then 45 min. later, drink the protein because most of the creatine will be absorbed and the insulin spike will be high, thus shuttling the protein into the muscles better as well. Don't take them at the same time.

A good post workout drink is 15 oz. of grape juice with 5 g of creatine and 10 g glutamine. That will make your cells swell! About 45 minutes later you should eat a complete meal. I would also suggest to take 400 mg phosphatidylserine (ps) right before your workout to combat a stress induced rise in cortisol levels. This will keep your testosterone/cortisol ratio normal.
