every time you sweat your body releases toxins onto the skin. You need to get rid of them each time. Basically you would need to take 2-3 showers daily, and maybe wash with an antibacterial soap to combat the acne you're getting.

You could also see if you could get a prescription for Accutane from your doctor. It works well.

Accutane is the shit ! During high school that was the only thing that worked for me. Accept side effects though, like a bloody nose once in a while, dry skin and chapped lips. Water can help flush out your skin so drink a couple of gallons a day. ------------------

I have had acne for the past 15 years (it started when I was 18). It comes and goes, but for some reason it intensifies around the change of the seasons for me (humidity? changes in mositurizers? etc.) I have seen a slight increase in my acne since I started my second cycle of Norabol. Nothing very severe, but noticiable since my complexion has cleared up recently. My opinion is that if you have a propensity to acne, then some supplements will cause outbreaks. Much like if you have a propensity to hair loss, etc. I took Accutane and it worked very well for me with almost no side effects (very dry lips and some nose bleeds). However, it is not 100% effective for everyone. My skin cleared up for about a year and then gradually started breaking out and etc. Some doctors will puit you on a second cycle of Accutane. I did it, and the results were the same, with the same return of the acne. A special note: Accutane is know to be very toxic to the liver. In fact, you are required to get periodic liver function tests. Anyone who is using steroids and other supplements should seriously consider the burden on your liver of both Accutane and roids (or other heavy supplments).

There is a very interesting article over on the women's board "Acne - a new cure". Its on pantothetic acid (a B vit) and a study that looks VERY promising. I'm going to experiment with it. ------------------ |
