I just got a free sample of Muscle-Links "Muscle Meals" and the ingredients sound pretty good. It has 40 g blend protein(whey).Has anyone every tried this meal replacement? I would appreciate your comments. ------------------ IP: Logged |

to be honest with you i think protein has to have some cassein in it so it can be absorbed more slowly. Ionic protein gets absorbed really fast and leaves, it can leave you in a catabolic state within a short time, same with isolates. That's why i don't buy MR's. I say buy some protein that comes from diff. sources so they get digested slowly, and if add flax and carbs it gets digested even slower. IP: Logged |

Yes, I have used Muscle Meals. I've used it for two years and I have made great gains. That supplement has helped me recover from every workout. It has casein and whey. I am going to use a new MRP, by GEN. It's called Growth Factor X. The ingredients sound very similar to Muscle Meals, I just want to see what my gains are like. I'll also be using whey isolate. You can get Growth Factor and Muscle Meals for good prices at www.netrition.com Growth Factor X is pretty expensive, about 2 bucks per serving and Muscle Meals costs 1.80 per serving. There are also volume discounts. I'll buy 9 boxes of Muscle Meals and instead of paying 36 bucks it's marked down to 33 bucks per box. And shipping is only $4.95 f ------------------ IP: Logged |

riskybiz has a good point. I use MRP's like muscle link (its as good as any other) but I also eat low-fat cottage cheese which is high in casein protein. You need to get a mix of whey and casein to get the most benefit from your increased protein intake. IP: Logged |

um muscle meals is a mixture of 4 proteins. combined with the fats it would be absorbed extremely slowly. i avoid it because of an ingredient called sodium sillicaluminate (sp?) that is in it. not sure if the level in MM would be toxic over time but i avoid all aluminums as an anti-alzheimers measure.
