I use to take it before, in capsules and I didn't notice anything. What should I be taking?

Any brand of glutamine is good. I personally like Prolab's and Labrada's. The best source of glutamine is glutamine peptide. ------------------

I use Prolab glutamine powder, approx 10g/day (2 heaping teaspoons) after workout and before bed.

i don't know if anyone has ever tried eclipse2000 products, i was skeptical at first but a good friend gave me some research results and they were quite impressive. i like the results and the prices are excellent, dpsnutrition carries there whole line of supplements. if you look at there numbers and ingredients they are almost exactally like eas, but at half the price. there creatine and glutamine powders work well and are very reasonably priced! ------------------

The owner of Eclipse used to work for the same store as a friend of mine - Fitness Direct. Had a fallout with the owner about some scam the eclipse guy was supposedly running - his products don't look bad though. Much like creatine, glutamine is glutamine, regardless of what brand - get the cheapest - I use Energetix. L-glutamine powder is good (what I use), but glutamine peptide is better. 5g L-gl. will enhance your body's ability to store glycogen, while as little as 2g will boost GH. Best if taken on an empty stomach, or 20 min. before food/1h before a workout and immediately after. 5g before lifting, 2g after and 2g before bed on an empty stomach is good enough for me. Also remember that whey protein contains L-glutamic acid. I use prolab which has over 5g L-glutamic acid per serving. That means that a scoop of prolab gives me 2-3g glutamine all on it's own (divide L-glutmaic acid in your protein shake by 2 to figure out how much glutmaine you're getting).
