Glutamine peptides are simply chains of glutamine...the prefix denotes how many compose a chain, i.e. DIpeptide=2, TRIpeptide=3, etc. The intestines have the ability to absorb small peptides, di- and tripeptides, which can escape utilization by the intestinal cells. I have not seen too much in terms of research showing blood levels of glutamine after ingestion of the two forms, but many claim that the peptide form results in better blood levels, since free glutamine is readily used up by the intestinal cells.

Glutamine is different than glutamic acid, although in the body the two are convertable.

without all the scientific mumbo jumbo....glutamine peptides can be taken with food or your favorite protein powder and your body still absorbs it..so its versitile. the cheaper stuff L-glutamine has to be taken on an empty stomach, no protein powder alternative, so your body can absorb it.
