I am 5'10 wiegh 185 and am trying to pack on mass and develope some muscularity. I really don't have a set program though I usually work out each body part once per week in 4 session on Mon/tue and thur/fri. Could anyone suggest a good beginners program as well as some natural supplaments which will blow me up withoug excess weight/fat. I thoug about DHEA but was told that i'm too young to use it (I'm 25) any advice? IP: Logged |

When I first started out, I lifted three times a week on a full body circuit program. I was in TERRIBLE shape and it really helped me to get in decent shape fast. When you first start out, especially if you had as little muscle as I had, your muscles can recover very quickly. Now I train every body part twice a week, on and off juice. DHEA and most other supplements, especially Prohormones are a waste of money. What you do need to get is creatine monohydrate and a big tub of protein powder. For 15 bucks you can get a 3 months supply of creatine and for 30 to 40 you can get 80 servings of protein. Other than that, eat sleep and train. Seriously, watch out for those supplements, they will try to scam you everytime. The only thing that works as well as they claim is real juice. IP: Logged |

Get protein, LOTS of protein, get some Creatine (try it if it works for a few weeks) maybe a ZMA (it does help, but nothing magical, just two essencial minerals)get the cheapest ZMA you can find (I heard twinlab has a good one) and you're set buddy! then just train hard, and REST!!! do this and every month you should see a difference... OK I would start by getting your diet down first 450gm carbs 250gm protein 60gm fat and drink a lot of water. Work out with heavy weights but make sure to keep good form 4-8 reps max. For your work out try something like Mon chest/tris Tues Back/bis Thurs Shoulders/traps Fri Legs/abs and try to do cardio for 30/40min 3 times a week. Don't worry to much about your body fat right now just work out hard and be patient you will grow. You need to have a good base before you cut up, Trust me bro I wasted the first 2 years of training trying to cut up and gain size at the same time it doesn't work for most people. If you keep your food clean and work out hard you will gain size and keep your BF% at a decent level. As for supplements go with a whey protein drink and maybe a weight gainer for after your workouts to help you recover quicker if you find it hard to eat a lot after a workout also creatine helps me a lot. Good luck bro and train hard.... IP: Logged |

Good advice from Tapout. Always remember that you can't gain substantial lean mass without getting some body fat with the lean. Its OK though. Bulk up to an acceptable point, then work on fat reduction. IP: Logged |

Any protein drink is fine. Whey is the best quality, price shop and look for a reputable name brand with a flavor you like. IP: Logged |
