First off when did you get this triax? Second who did you get it from? The reason I ask is triax hasn't been made for almost a year. If you got it sence then , someone is probably passing of a coppy cat product. Watch out what you take and who you get these products from. Triax was origionally made by a compony called syntrax, they stoped making it almost a year ago because of the FDA. Syntrax might bring there product back after there go around with the FDA but it's not being made now. Now for your question, I have never had any side affects from taking Syntrax triax, and It ripped me up great. But the product you speak of I can not say. IP: Logged |

I got bad hives from Syntrax Lipokinetix. Maybe its not the active ingredient in either the LipoK or the Triax but rather one of the fillers? IP: Logged |

Hey Guys, YES TRIAX causes Hives. If you want more details read on...or don't. Tiratricol is a thyroid hormone analog, and its definitely causing your hives. Your thyroid makes T-cells (hence the T in T cell) for your immune system. With hyperthyroidism (which is essentially what you are causing in your body by taking the supplement) has been shown to cause a decrease in a certain kind of cell that is supposed to make sure you dont develop T cells (think of em like antibodies) to your own cells. So like normal you are making some "antibodies" to your own body but now your thyroid cant destroy them like its supposed to. NOW, like its supposed the drug is increasing your metabolism. This increases heat production (byproduct of inefficient metabolism). This increases blood flow to your skin (basically so you can sweat off the extra heat--even if you dont notice the sweat)which causes redness. The blood is carrying these antibodies to yourself to your skin, where it is also possibly causing urticaria or hives. So yes TRIAX causes hives. Make sure to take a liver supplement if you are taking TRIAX esp. if also taking roids or pros (Thats where your body metabolizes TRIAX). IP: Logged |

BamBam, That's the most ridiculous bunch of junk I've ever heard. Thyroid hormones and analogs don't cause rashes and T-cells aren't named for thyroid. You are an idiot and need not to post such misinformation. IP: Logged |

BAMBAMR- Where in gods name did you come up with this information ?? "T" cells dont stand for "Thyroid" cells. T cells deal with the immune system. If the guy had a rash its an allergic reaction. An allergic reaction can occour with asprin,tylenol,opiates,food,fabrics,...get my point. Get your shit together and stop spreading misinformation. Mistakes are part of the learning process. Taking half truthes and blantantly wrong info and passing it off as fact AREN'T. Think and verify something before you post it as truth. ------------------ IP: Logged |

T-cells, and other lymphocytes, are produced by the bone marrow. They leave the bones and are 'educated' in the THYMUS, not thyroid. I am not sure if the 'T' stands for thymus or another term, but it is not for thyroid. As for the hives, I am not sure, since many drugs can cause urticarias. In the case of Lipokinetix, I have an assumption that it is the usnic acid causing this, since there are reports of allergic dermatitis with use of lichen based products. I think that the usnic acid is binding to skin proteins and acting as a hapten, similar to urushiol found in poison ivy. DNP can do this too. IP: Logged |
