That's a pretty broad question. What brands are you talking about specifically?

VERY generally, generics, according the the FDA, have less stringent quality control regulations for pharmaceuticals than the name brand equivalent. For example, Motrin, which is the brand-name for 800 mg ibuprofen, can have a discrepancy of +/- 5% of the drug per pill. Comparatively, a generic 800 mg ibuprofen can be +/- 15% of the drug per pill. I don't know why the FDA allows this, but it happens. It might come down to the cost of manufacturing and production.

my experience with the prohomones (4AD)is that the generic brands work as well as the popular name brands and they can be sig. cheaper.

This is a VERY broad question. Its like saying, is a 10 speed better then a mountain bike! Heck there are times when you would want to use a 10 speed for say on a street race. And there are times when you would want a mountain bike, such as off road biking. Lets try to keep questions a little bit more specific.

1) In General however, I don't buy the BEST suppliment brangs, I ussually find something that is in my price range. I try to stay towards brnags like ProLab as much as possible. They seem to be pretty respected and etc.....

sometimes the bottle contains nothing which the label claims, stick to the reputable companys....trust me,its not the same...
