I am going to the beach in the 2nd week of August and need to cut up and was wondering about what supplement would help me out the best. I am currently taking creatine monohydrate made by nature's best. I have taken creatine in the past but I am not sure if I took it correctly ---- I got stronger but my appearance didn't change much. Thanks for the help!!!!!!! ------------------ IP: Logged |

One more thing-- I have heard that alot of the weight or appearance put on by creatine is water. Can this be avoided by drinking LOTS of water? I drink at least 2 gallons of water per day so that this won't occur. Thanks. ------------------ IP: Logged |

When cutting, I use Adipokinetix. It's a great product. I do atleast an hour of cardio a day split into 2 sessions. I eat low carb and just 3 meals/day. I know it sounds very catabolic, but it really isn't if you perform it correctly. In order to maintain muscle mass, I replace my carbs with fat (usually mayo)w/lettuce along with a steak or chicken. The fat is what my body relies on for energy during my weight training sessions. Remember to take the thermogenic, in this case, adipokinetix, on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. Wait around 25-30 min and it will kick into your system and you will feel the sudden adrenaline boost. This helps tremendously when doing cardio for such a long period. I also take glutamine right after my cardio session and weight workouts to keep my muscles pumped. I don't take any creatine when cutting because I see no point. You're trying to look shredded right? We don't want to take a supplement that might cause water retention. Save your creatine and money when you decide to go on a mass gain cycle. IP: Logged |

if u want to be "cut up", get off the creatine. Creatine causes your muscle tissue to absorb water and that will make your muscles look fuller (bloated), but its only water. Without creatine, your muscles will look harder, more defined and not bloated. Water is good, but 2 gallons is a bit much. You must pee an awful lot! :-) IP: Logged |
