I've always have had minor problems falling to sleep, especially since I've stopped smoking hemp. I've tried melatonin, which helps but I'm groggy in the morning. Any suggestions?? I've heard of something called kava kava. I don't want to take otc sleeping pills, and I don't want to drink jack daniels. Thnx. I take thermogenics, but not after five. IP: Logged |

Hello Plato, What kind of thermogenics are you taking, how much, and when are you taking them? Did you have this minor sleeping problem before you started taking them? The reason I ask is that the ECA stack SERIOUSLY disrupted my sleepinf patterns when I first began taking them. IP: Logged |

Actually, I've always had a minor problem falling asleep, ever since high school. After I fall asleep I'm fine. I just got done with md6 and am now on ripped fuel by twin labs. Like I said before, I don't take any after five, and I'm a late nighter so I don't usually go to bed until after midnight or so. IP: Logged |

First of all Plato with a name like that I had hoped your intelligence level was a little higher than displayed, what I mean is why the fuck were you smoking HEMP, hemp hardly contains any THC whatsoever, you would have to smoke a fucking acre to get high, by that time your lungs would of collasped. I hope you were puffing on the female cannabis plant known as Marijuana, hemp is a male plant that cannot produce buds. Anyway to help you sleep , try tylenol PM, sounds shitty but it works. Good Luck. IP: Logged |

If the melatonin makes you groggy try cutting the dose in half, I had the same problem and it works for me - good luck. IP: Logged |

I am having great results with sublingual melatonin. My problem with the pills stemmed from the fact that I would eat a late meal and this would slow the melatonin's absorption, making me feel very groggy in the morning and would not help get me off the sleep quickly. IP: Logged |

Thanks for all the input, I'll try halfing the dosage. I think everyone realized what I meant when I said hemp, and with a BA in philosophy it kinda' went with the territory. IP: Logged |

I know what it means to have insomnia. I had it for years and tried everything. First I went for the melatonin, but at the effective dose for me (almost 10 mg to make me sleepy) I was so groggy in the morning that I often overslept or was late for class. I then tried a mixture of melatonin and valerian root. It worked the first week and then no results. Then I tried kava kava, nothing at all. Finally, I asked a doctor to prescribe me something to help me sleep. First I tried mild sedatives, but they made me too sleepy the next day. I tried that stuff sonata which only stays in your system for about 3 hours, but it really didn't help that much. Finally, I tried something called WaterOz Platinum, and it has made all the difference. Every night is restful, and I almost never oversleep. Plus, it gives me energy if I take it in the morning. I don't know if it will work while you're taking fat burners though. Good luck, I know how frustrating it is to not be able to sleep. IP: Logged |

I have the same problem with sleeping paterns I rarely sleep for more than 5 hours a night especially in the summer I have been having the same problem for 3 years now . But the good thing is that I feel very energetic all the time with very little sleep so maybe I just recover faster and that's why I can't sleep more than 5 hours. I have tried everything from melatonin to valerian and also kava and tylenol pm as well but nothing produces results So I just live with only 5 hours a night actually it's better for the summer because U have more time for fun ..... One thing that improved the quality, the soundness of my sleep was when I started taking 500mg of magnesium with dinner. I don't know if it'll help put you out, but it may make your nights more restful once you are. IP: Logged |

My insomnia was horrible. I've had post-traumatic stress disorder for awhile now and nothing helped except the WaterOz Platinum. I get it from the manufacturer, but you can buy it online. Go to your search engine and type in "WaterOz" and it should bring up several places to buy. Let me state that I don't know if it will work for you. I think that with most supplements, it's different with everyone. You might give it a shot and see. It's only about 16 bucks a bottle (which has 96 servings) so it's not really a bad gamble. It makes a big difference...Do you have trouble falling asleep or do you wake up after having fallen asleep? If you need help getting sleepy, I'd go with WaterOz Platinum or the drug Sonata. If you wake up in the middle of the night then ask your doctor if either Restoril or Ambien is right for you. Usually I am against using medications, however, sleep is vital to life. I used to only get about 4 hours of sleep a night, but it caught up with me and it nearly cost me my life. I decided from then on that I'd get sleep no matter what I had to do. Because if your body gets the proper rest then your body can heal and recuperate enough to offset the use of many drugs. However, if it doesn't rest enough, then one day it will catch up with you like it did me. So do what it takes and get your sleep. IP: Logged |

Plato, when I take ECA (or anything thermogenic) I have trouble getting quality sleep. I don't take it past 3pm and it has helped a lot. You said you don't take it past 5pm, when I take something that late I don't sleep well at all. Try 3pm, and that includes coffee too. IP: Logged |

WaterOz is similar to colloidal minerals but it is not colloidal. It is ionized. This essentially improves the absorption rate. Basically that's all it is is purified water and 50 parts per million platinum. Sounds a bit strange but it works for me. I also take the Water of Life by WaterOz and have recently found that it also helps me to sleep better. It does contain platinum also, and that makes it doubly beneficial--in that the platinum helps fight insomnia and the other minerals (which you have to have anyway) are going to be absorped better than a pill. Check out http://www.wateroz.com and it should hopefully clarify any specific questions you may have. Also, the company sends a packet with the bottle of whatever you order that gives instructions on how to use it properly for various effect. I hope that helps. IP: Logged |
