I was wondering if you guys take additional BCAA'S? I take glutamine and have a whey protein supplement every day. I've read a lot about people taking BCAA'S, both before and after training. They don't get hyped so much because they aren't a "wonder" supplement like creatine and fatburners. I once spoke to a natural trainer who said if he didn't have his BCAA'S, he wouldn't even train. He takes it that seriously and he wasn't even into creatine and all the hype supplements. Just wondering if you guys think they are an important supplement for a natural trainer. Thanks. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I believe that BCAA's can help. But I would rather put my money somewhere else. Doesn't Nytro Whey have added BCAA's in it? I'm very sure it does. So extra BCAA's aren't needed. ------------------ IP: Logged |

That is what I was thinking. The whey has a high percentage of BCAA'S, so I wanted to know if that was enough. Thanks, I'll spend that money elsewhere. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I usually take 8/9 before I train and 8/9 after my work out. Now that I am cutting up I take 10 only after. Well they help your body for recovery , it's an anticatabolic (IS IT RIGHT ?). BCAAs should be stacked with glutamine , proteins and creatine. Ciao. IP: Logged |

Hi there, There was a lot of hype in the late 80's and 90's about taking BCCA specifically L-Leucine and L-Valine free form amino acids. However with the advent of better protein powders there is no real need for seperate suplementation (?). Also you might of read lately it is now known that taking Whey protein on its own is not the best protein, but should be taken with a casein based protein (It slows down the breakdown of protein for longer bio availability in the system). Anyway UK Guy signing off...

half the companies out there have casein in their protein, it's cheap protein. Best u can buy are isolates. I get my protein from Proteinfactory.com check them out, tons of protein. By the way, i think if you get an Amino Acid it's better than BCAA's because it has everything in it. And if you have just 1g of protein usually that's your 1 pill of aminos IP: Logged |
