I am currently taking Xenadrine with Yohimbe twice a day, I was thinking of switching to the eca stack today? Is it any better than the xenadrine? Will it possibly work any faster to lower my bf%? Or will I just be more "zoomin'"???? The roids will be my last resort!    | ||

uh.... my understanding is Xenadrine *is* an ECA stack.  | ||

thats right, it is an ECA stack. switching will not do any good at all. Xenadrine and Yohimbe together should do pretty well. Actually I think Xenadrine might be even better than taking ECA separately, because it also has synephrine, which is used for its thermogenic properties. | ||

A university professor recently published a paper (Am J Health-Syst Pharm, 57, 2000) comparing the measured amounts of ephedrine in a variety of ephedra products. They compared several batches of each product to see if the ephedrine amounts from batch to batch. Bottom line, Xenadrine was found to have very close to the amount of ephedrine claimed on the bottle and was very consistent from batch to batch. Ripped Fuel, which is what I've always used, did poorly...big differences in ephedrine content from batch to batch. | ||

DC: I saw something about that on the news a few weeks ago but didn't even listen to the brands that they tested. I guess i will stay on the Xenadrine then, Thanks  | ||

Xenedrine is not an E/C/A stack. A true E/C/A stack has Ephedrine/Caffine/Asprin. Xenedrine has no asprin or herbal equivilant of asprin. I have used both and personally I feel the E/C/A stack is much more effective than Xenedrine. | ||

I have used with good results Dymetadrine Xtreme by Ast. And I will use it again in July. What about if I add aspirin to my Dym. ??? What are your seggested dosages ? I was thinking to take 3 caps per day of Dym. plus 1 aspirin each time I take Dym. what do you think ? | ||

I have used adipokinetix in the past with good results and no side affects. It contains caffeine, yohimbine and norephedrin and I take asprin with it. ------------------ | ||

A good number of people feel the aspirin is not necessary. It's not part of the synergistic thermogenic effect caused by the ephedrine and caffeine combo; it's purpose is to thin the blood to expediate delivery of the other two substances. Personally, I simply don't know. I guess the aspirin is helpful if you take the stuff immediately before a workout. | ||

Aspirin is not necessary in the E/C combo, the original studies DID NOT use aspirin in it. The idea of using aspirin came from the fact that the body can reduce norepi release from the nerve terminals through the prostaglandin E series. So researchers figured that reducing prostaglandin synthesis would increase it's effects. The studies did not show any synergism and no significant difference in weight loss (except in obese women). Also, note that aspirin does not change the viscosity (thickness/thinness)of blood, it just prevents the clotting mechanism. Xenadrine is a "everything but the kitchen sink" product. Synephrine is an alpha agonist and is useless as a thermogen, since its thermogenic properties are not from increased energy expenditure, but from capillary constriction. The capillary constriction causes heat to be trapped in the body. Just buy ephedrine tabs and caffeine tabs, it is much cheaper. | ||
