Your young guys are always going on about when to take creatine, whether you should take it twice a day, loading up etc. Here's my advice (and the advice of many experienced bodybuilders and nutritionist I know): 1) Stick with monohydrate - the rest are expensive gimmicks and should only be used if you have absorbtion problems 2) 5g once per day is enough 3) It doesn't really matter when you take as long as you are taking it about the same time each day. The idea is to saturate your muscles - once saturated you can't get any more in them. 4) You can take it with glucose or dextrose (like Cell-tech) but in all fairness, taking it with warm water (so it dissolves) and juice is ok. 5) Don't waste your money loading up. I loaded up when I first started using creatine 3 years ago and I've never bothered since. Loading up just gives your body far too much creatine than it needs and you use most of your creatine just loading up. CONCLUSION By 1Kg of creatine monohydrate, a tub of glucose powder and some juice (grape is reputated to be the best). 1kg of mono should last your 12 months and save you a hell of a lot of money!
