Nitro-tech by Muscletech contains stuff that helps with protein absorption, a nitrous oxide stimulator and another chemical that stimulates insulin.

There is a supplement called Nitro Mine by Advanced Genetics which is billed as being 400-500% more bioavailable than protein isolates. I can't verify this as I've never used it personally and haven't seen the research on it. Other than that, all I know is that it was patented by a medical doctor who uses it to treat extreme cases of protein malnutrition. Is that the product you were referring to?

Several of your B vitamins assist in protein break down, synthesis, and absorbtion.
