This is a great question that I would like to have more information about. From the research I've seen, 3 grams of ALC taken before a workout will greatly reduce cortisol levels that normally spike after a hard workout. This could be very beneficial to natural athletes. I've also seen research indicating as much as 7 grams daily to be beneficial for supressing cortisol AND increasing free testosterone. I think this would cost around $5/day though. Maybe if you buy it in bulk and only take it on workout days (4x per week), then it'll cost maybe $10/week or so if you get a good deal. Either way, I'm going to look more into it. IP: Logged |

I take much less than that and get good results. I stack mine with testatropinol and pregnenalone. Those three combined have helped me, although I know it might not work for everyone. IP: Logged |

Hey Doc, how come on the bottle of Pregnenalone it says DO NOT USE IF YOU'RE UNDER THE AGE OF 40??? Not even DHEA says that on the bottle. Since I'm 25 years old, I don't think I'll use it right now. Also, research shows that the testatropinol should be cycled. What dosages of those supplements do you use? thanks IP: Logged |

Yes, the testatropinol should be cycled according to the instructions. Actually, most healthcare practitioners feel that DHEA should not be used by anyone under 40 as well. The same goes true for melatonin. The assumption is that these dietary supplements shouldn't be used by anyone whose natural hormones are still in the high production phase. Sure, you should be sure to check with your own health care provider before taking these or any other supplements. That's just to be on the safe side. You're being very wise to err on the side of caution. Good luck. IP: Logged |
