I just added Tyrosine to my supp stack and I just starting getting some pounding headaches...but I don't know why... The headaches only occur when I'm doing intense workouts, such as squats/bench or chin ups...If I take the tyrosine on a day I don't workout, I don't have any problems... Could the tyrosine be causing the headaches? Pubert IP: Logged |

Yes! Tyrosine is the main precursor of adrenaline, noradrenaline, and dopamine. If you're taking stimulants, taking extra tyrosine is a great idea because it prevents your amino-acid pool from becoming tyrosine deficient. However, in some people, excess tyrosine creates a dopamine imbalance, resulting in headaches. I would give it a month. If it keeps giving you a headache, dump it. IP: Logged |

I work out in the morning, so my morning stack is my preworkout stack. Morning Workout (This is where the headaches would occur) If I didn't workout, I wouldn't have headaches. After the workout, I would have some Creatine with my breakfast (usually about an hour after the workout). Noon Evening I'm also on a CKD diet, have 2 protein shakes per day (mid morning, mid afternoon snacks) and get Flax seed oil after the morning workout, which I also take creatine with, and in the evening. I've been off everything for the past week and will start working out tomorrow (deadlifts) and see what happens... I'm afraid it could be high blood pressure caused by something, but I don't see how...I've been on the adipo/guggul/aspirin for about a month and didn't introduce the other supps until a couple weeks ago. For me, the headaches would always occur when l-tyrosine was combined with yohimbine. I know that Adipo has some yohimbine in it so that MAY be the problem, but I really don't know. (I do know that the headaches stopped when I stopped taking yohimbine though) IP: Logged |

Just a thought. Two years ago I started getting severe headaches during lifting that I had trouble finding the cause to. In my case, I had strained my neck doing different types of crunches by incorrectly placing my hands behind my head on some of them. Have someone monitor your routine to see if they can pick up on something you might be missing. It worked for me. IP: Logged |

Well...I've started to add everything back in to my supp stack, including the Prohormones (except Tyrosine) and I am fine now... I think I will try and re-add the Tyrosine sometime next week and see if the headaches come back. I am only going to try it again, because I feel that the person who recommended the neck problems, may be right. Pubert IP: Logged |
