This topic may have been beaten to death for the several past years, but i guess its time to beat it somemore.

Checking back on previous posts and on various web sites, i am confused more than ever on what are the optium procedures to take glutamine and creatine.

===============================

Case example: Glutamine
Method Source: Alex from proteinfactory.com

===============================
He recommneds taking glutamine (peptide or l-glutamine form) in LARGE dosages (10 grams or 20 grams if bodyweight is over 200lb). Optimal times would be in the mornings on an empty stomach, post-workout, and before sleep.

Conclusion: Take large amounts of glutamine in order to bypass the liver.

================================
Method Source #2: kilosports.com
================================
Now the recommend taking glutamine 4 or 5 time throughout the day and use only 5 grams per serving. This is in fear of larger dosages becoming ineffective.

[Question:] What are your opinions on the amount of glutamine? Should i:

A. Do a large scale attack (10 grams) with glutamine three or four times a day?

or

B. Take in smaller amounts (5 grams) for 5 times throughout the day.

===============================

Next Case: Creatine

===============================

I know that by taking carbs with a high glycemic value, such as dextrose, will have a greater creatine absorbtion process in the body.
My question is how many grams is needed to spike insulin levels enough for the creatine to be absorbed better? Of course, individual levels will vary but what is the general amount.
What is the average amount of dextrose should i use to mix the creatine with? 1 scoop (25 grams)? 1 and 1/2 scoops or even 2 scoops?
Would it be easier just to drink a cup of grapejuice?

I am asking these questions because all those other "performance creatine" products (eg. Max muscle, cell-tech, EAS) just have dextrose in them, along with some amino acids ( i think).

This is what works for me:
before breakfast and after workout, 5 grams of creatine and 5 g. of glutamine mixed in water with 15 grams of sugar.

Here is what i do 5g creatine & 5g of glutamine after a workout. What i use has sugar in both of them & they are both grape favor, i just mix together in water and down it after a work, has about 100g sugar in it really spikes insulin levels, veins all come out after i do this.

Wow, taking as much of 100 grams of sugar? I thought people should avoid sugars, but in the case of after lifting, replenishing essential energy and to spike insulin levels to get more "goods" into the muscle sounds reasonable.

I'm kinda a cheap ass. It seems that when i mix my glutamine in 8 ounces of water, there seems to be a residue of powder around the sides of the cup? Is there a better absorbtion method in dissolving glutamine? Or am i just too paranoid about this excess trace of particles?
