I'm referring to "muscle building" supplements. I've had great success with fat burners but I haven't found anything to help me put on more muscle. I'm one of the few people who don't respond very well to creatine. I've tried all of the following with no luck: Syntrabol Methoxy Proxylon Ribose Andro 19-Nor 250 Tribulus ZMA Glutamine I've developed a very muscular physique 5'11" around 215 lbs. Everyone says I'm "big enough" or "huge". But I don't think you can ever be too muscular! I've hit a major plateau as far as my training goes. I'm not making any progress with my lifts and I'm starting to lose motivation as far as my training goes! Any suggestions? What works for the rest of you? I'm really sick of wasting my money on supplements that don't work! I'm not expecting to improve my bench by 70 lbs in a month or something ridiculous like that, but I feel I should be making some progress with the aid of supplements.

It all depends on the person. Each supplement will act differantly for each person. I personally had great results with a prohormone blend called 'cycloroid' by 'sports one'. Others will say that NO prohormones work. Like I said, it all depends on the person. Glutamine I beleive does an excellent job at repairing and assisting in regrowth. I take I take 3, 5g servings a day. Personally, I have not tried ZMA but there are people on this board who say it works great. The only other supp you mentioned that sticks out in my mind is the syntrabol. I found that at between 800-1200mg/day that after 2 bottles, I received some great definition gains. Hope this helps some. ------------------

You should analyse everything before you blame the supps. What do you eat? How do you train? Maybe you just need a couple of weeks off or a new routine. Sometimes decrease of motivation is a sign of overtraining.

With the syntrabol I was getting a little more muscle definition at 1200 mg a day but nothing worth the cost of the supplement! The reason I'm looking at the supplements is because my diet is very clean. I usually eat foods like chicken, cottage cheese, oatmeal, oat bran, broccoli, cauliflower, brown rice, turkey, whole wheat bread, skim milk, protein powders, and MRP's. So there's no junk food or anything like that. I don't ever have fast food or anything like that. My training routine is split up over 5 days. One body part each day. My workouts are very intense and last between 30-40 minutes. Anything longer is overtraining and catabolic. Maybe I'll try taking a week off since I recently changed my routine. Thanks for the responses.
