I�m about a month into the Body for Life program and am taking the �marketed� EAS stack. (I was clueless on supplements and had to start somewhere) It consists of: 1-2 Myoplex shakes a day 1-2 Powerbar Harvest Meal Replacement bars My goal is to lose bodyfat and increase muscle definition. I�m not looking to become all-out huge-just lean and toned nicely. I�m looking to improve the stack. I was surprised at how good the Myoplex tastes but the Phen-free hasn�t seemed to produce any effect. I�m looking for a better fat burner but am concerned about the side effects that an ECA fat burner may have (jitters, depression,etc). Thanks in advance! | ||

betagen + 2 myoplex + 2 powerbar harvest= Way too much sugar to get lean in order to get lean while building some muscle id recommend just eating 2 myoplex along with 3 small high protein meals; for creatine just use phosphagen hp as it is much more cost effective considering the hmb will do nothing for u...or try another brands creatine- i love the sugar-free creatine cooler by labrada and it would be an ideal choice for someone in your situation | ||

thanks for the advice...didn't know betagen had that much sugar in it...basically i eat one powerbar harvest a day as a breakfast bar...is there a bar available that has less sugar? | ||

Definetly drop the Harvest bars! Maybe try a Lean Body MRP bar instead. They taste pretty good. A good fat burner that doesn't cause the jitters is Syntrax's Adipo-kinetix. It's very effective at dropping bodyfat while retaining muscle mass! You may also want to drop the Betagen and just go with the phosphagen creatine monohydrate powder. Betagen is awfully expensive and recent studies show that HMB does NOT work in people who train! So save your money! | ||

thanks bros... i totally revised my stack.... i dropped the harvest bars and now take met-rx bars i added: adipo, gugglbolic, glutamine, flax oil, and zma the advice on this board is outstanding... | ||

Try Alpha Lipoic Acid with that stack will hepl with sugar levels | ||

can u elaborqate on which met-rx bars u are using...certain ones are better for cutting than others. | ||

also u can keep creatine in a cutting stack as long as u use the straight powder w/ your mrp or one w/ a transport system low in sugar...it is just more cost effective to use creatine while bulking as the extra calories will facilitate greater gains | ||

they're the regular 300 g met-rx ones...i guess i should switch to one with less calories when my supply runs out | ||

i was afraid those were the bars u were using...switch to met-rx protein plus bars (they have more protein and alot less sugar), the roasted peanut taste good | ||

hey built, i went to costco and bought some of those protein plus metrx bars...they taste just as good and i like the fact that it has 34 grams of protein vs. 27 g....it also has a lot less carbs from sugar as you said... however, it has about 4.5 more grams of saturated fat than the classic metrx bars... which is the worse of the two? classic having more sugar or the PP having more sat fat? | ||

at the costco u went to ,did u have variety packs or only choc roasted peanut, i have been out and i haev been going to 7-11 and buying them (over 1 dollars more per bar),according to my mom cosctco did not have any she went two different ones too supposedly,but she is very unreliable and i would not be suprised if i went their and saw them,so im just wondering if coscto still carries variety packs of protein plus bars? or was it a one time thing | ||

they had just the protein plus bars....they had a couple variety boxes on top of a case of boxes of the choc roasted peanut...so it looks like the variety boxes are almost out and are being restocked with just the choco roasted chicken ones | ||

I would trade all the bars for a good whey protien powder to go with the MRP's. Also add Hydroxycut. Keep the creatine, just use regular creatine powder in your MRP's. | ||

THAT FUCKIN SUCKS!!!! I HATE CHOC ROASTED PEANUT ITS THE WORST TASTING IN MY OPINOIN,PLUS IT HAS THE LEAST MCTS,THE OTHERS PRPOBABLY DONT HAVE THE MUCH EITHER BUT THE MCT IS THE LAST INDREIGENT ON THE CHOC RAOSTED PEANUT TO TOP IT OFF WITH ITS HORRIBLE TASTE,I GUESS IM GONNA HAVE TO ORDER THE MAJORITY OF THEM FROM ONLINE SUPPLEMENTS COMPANIES |
