Hello people, i need some advice on a bulking stack that involves using creatine, gaba and glutamine. Can anyone give me some advice on the best dosages to get the best results with minimal water retention, last time i used creatine i got bloated so much around the waist it pissed me off a lot. Any help, experiences etc would be greatfully appreciated. thanks, Gymbob

Gymbob- Through my experience, I have found that after your intial loading phase of 20+ grams a day, 5 grams a day should do the trick. I happen to be over 225 and have responded well to this doasge, anymore is just excreted in your urine. As far as water retention goes, you must drink lots os water to rid yourself of excess water. It sounds strange but it is true. While on creatine, and when not, your water consumption should be at least a gallon a day. You should take your glutamine seperately from creatine as they fight for receptor sites. Take it with a protein shake, three times a day @5 grams a pop. These times should be upon awakening, before a workout as well as before bed. As for Gaba, I don't find it as scientifically strong as the aforementioned and have never used it. Maybe someone else can help you out with that. Good Luck!

Fratboy basically has it right. You should drink a lot of water while on creatine but your going to retain water no matter what.As far as glutamine i had a great recovery time using the glutamine peptide 5 grams after workout and 5 before going to sleep. You should take your creatine with high GI carbs like grape juice because it helps with absorbtion. When i was using it i would get 16oz of lukewarm water and add the 5 grams creatine with it.The slight heat and amount of water dissolves all of the creatine and you dont get any particles.

frat boy has the high water intake right. However, combining it with glutamine is no problem, they do not compete, infact the glutamine will probably help to create a better insulin response, he might not know it but he gave you the same advice when he said to take it with protein, because glutamine is just another amino(protein)

wannabebig- Just how in the hell could glutamine provide an insulin response? In your own words "glutamine is an amino acid". An insulin-like response is the result of high glycimec carbs (ie glucose, fructose), not proteins! You don't see diabetics chugging on a protein shake! Secondly, in reference to taking a certain supplement with a protein drink, it was glutamine I was refering to! Read my response again and think before you speak (write)!

Creatine and Glutamine are the best legal supps. to buy in my opinion. ------------------

Creatine and Glutamine PEPTIDES do not compete for uptake. And he's right, they are just Amino Acids (Proteins) so it doesn't make any difference. OUT!

frat boy, wasn't trying to flame ya. I apologize for misinterpreting what you wrote. However, you are still wrong on a couple things. Any nutrient that your body takes up stimulates an insulin response not just sugars. if that was the case that would be all that we could eat. I agree sugar stimulates a better response, however, taking creatine with glutamine will give a better response than creatine alone. No hard feelings
