Wassup, this is my first post!

I never understood the ins and outs on why this is not to be done.
I realize that adolescents are having massive hormonal changes, and steroids will fuck up those changes with inbalances and the likes. Is that *ALL* there is to it?
Also, since adolescent males have such high levels (peak levels) of testosterone, wouldn't this give them a steroid like advantage?

I was just wondering and I would appreciate a full and complete insight on this.
Thanks, Daniel

Adolescents and young adults hormones, ie. testosterone are still increasing. When you introduce hormones into your system, your body recognizes this and it wants to stop producing testosterone of your own.

Most people don't begin, if ever, with AS's until they're fully mature and they've already tried everything possible to gain size, and maxed out their natural potential.

There are many pros and cons of steroid use, but I think you should give yourself a chance and see what your natural potential can be. Once you begin cycling on and off steroids, they become habit forming, and your body require more of the drugs to be as effective as before. Also, testicle shrinkage etc, mood swings, potential impotence are things you don't want to be thinking about at a very young age. Not to mention the fact that they're illegal, and the affects on your liver.

You can find out a lot about AS's on the anabolic steroid discussion boards. There's tons of good information pro and con.

You mentioned, "since adolescent males have such high levels (peak levels) of testosterone, wouldn't this give them a steroid like advantage?" The answer is yes. Muscles recovery and test reproduction happens more quickly at young ages.

How old are you? How long have you been working out for?

Im 16, for 1 year seriously, 2 years for the learning experience...you know toning and just getting to know the world of bb in general and nutrition ins and outs etc.

Yeah i have not even considered steroids.
Thanks very much for the answer, it wasnt anything like
"HOW CAN YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT USING AS's! YOURE TOO FREAKING YOUNG" ETC.
Thanks for the thoughts.
Any further insights are still appreciated.

You already have such a high testosterone level anyway because of puberty you really dont need them till your body gets fully matured. And it might stunt your growth.

I am 17 and yeah I do plan on using gear. knowledge and common sense are the best tools. Really teens do not get steroid like results due to the fact that most of us have such high metabolism that when we eat that crap at school it gets burned in no time thus taking our little advantage away. sucks.

As an avid lifter, AS user, and medical student, I would strongly advise against anybody under the age of 18 to even consider juicing. Aside from the very real endocrinological dysfunction which will occur, YOU WILL STUNT YOUR GROWTH. You will not reach your full potential height. The reason for this is that testosterone (AS are just chemical derivatives of testosterone & have basically the same effects) causes premature closure of the epiphyseal plates of long bones (e.g. femur, humerus, etc.), thereby preventing them from getting longer, and preventing you from ever being able to ride the roller coasters at the amusement park. If you are going to use AS, wait until you stop growing in height.

is there anyway to tell for sure if you are done growing in height i've heard stories of people getting ex-rays done on joints what kind of doctor would i go to for this? I just turned 20 and the only thing stopping me from a small cycle of deca/winny is the possibility of not reaching my full height potential.
