I have had a great deal of success from the information gathered on this board. My question is it logical for me to think that I still cn loss the fat that I am trying to cut while on creatine, or will I start putting wieght back on. I want to take advantage of the strength gains I will get from the creatine, but I don't want to put on the water weight. Should I use the creatine transport methods, or plain old water? Any ideas and thoughts are greatly appreciated

In order for creatine to work, it has to have some kind of transport to the muscles. Either it's going to be in the creatine, or you have to take it with juice. Just plain creatine monohydrate taken with water has no way to transport the creatine into your muscles.

If you want to take a creatine with transport, that's low in sugar (carbos) EAS's Synthevol works well. (But it's pricey) Just mix it with water, it also has glutamine peptides which are very effective for recovery. Take about ten minutes before the end of your workout, or just after your workout, when you're pumped up.

Or just take a plain creatine with apple or grape juice.

I lost a ton of weight (fat) while on creatine, the key is to make sure you're doing enough cardio, and eating properly. Good nutrition, is most important. I eat six small meals a day including two Meal replacement high protein shakes, two regular meals (carbo's, protein, and fat), and usually two nutrition bars. Drink a least a gallon of water a day.

Make sure you're eating enough protein, and possibly taking some glutamine to avoid muscle atrophy. It's tough to make large gains while cutting fat, but it depends on your body fat. You'll surely cut up if you do enough cardio. I don't do weights on cardio days because I do intense cardio training, and your muscles catabolize after a period of time depending on your intensity. You can actually burn some muscle by overtraining. If you're really heavy you probably won't notice it until your bf% gets under 14 or 15%.

What is your approximate bf, height, weight? Your goals should be specific to where you are in your training, and where you would like to go.

Most people blow up using creatine, because they don't get their heart rate up enough doing cardio.

I wouldn't hesitate to use creatine while trying to cut fat. Also, if you can handle an ECA stack you'll burn more fat. Take it before workouts and meals, depending of which one you take will determine the dosages and frequency. Be careful not to exceed recommended doses, it can be addicting, and cycle off after about 6 weeks for two weeks.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Thankyou for such speedy reply. My next question is can I use pro-hormones also, or are strictly for wieght gain?

I've gained weight while on prohormones, but we're talking towards lean muscle mass.

Norabol is listed in both muscle builders and fat cutters. I personally have not tried it, but so far I've heard very positive results.

It's pretty difficult, to say the least, to build a solid lean muscle mass while also worrying about dropping the fat.

Xenadrine or Clenbutrx (liquid) are probably the two cutters I'd choose. But, if you're lifting - you want to make sure you're still eating. Those two will drop your appetite.

You can use pro-hormones also. They're not strictly for weight gain. They are to help build lean muscle mass. They work for some people depending on what you take and how you take it.

You may want to do a search on prohormones to find out a little about what they do,and their side effects. Assuming you are going to build muscle while you are on prohormones and creatine keep this in mind. Larger muscles increase metabolism, and help to burn fat better. That's why it's important to weight train and do cardio when you're trying to lose fat. Otherwise you have muscle catabolism. (break down)

Can you be more specific about your goals. How much weight do you want to lose? Give us your stat's, height, weight, age, bf. How often do you train? How much cardio? etc. This info will help others give you details about what should work for you.

Hey I thought taking an ECA stack makes creatine less effective. Is this true?
