Flax seed oil is taken for the Essential Fatty Acids(EFA's) like omega 3,6,9. These are just that, essential, to burn fat. There is no designated time to take it. Once tblspn=14g of fat. ------------------

Flax oil is a must and is very important. It won't lead to direct gains like steroids or creatine may but it will assist in a lot of things that will help your goals no matter what they are. Studies show that adequate amounts of the good fats can lead to greater testesterone levels and gains. It is also excellent for your heart, skin and health. To me it is like Vit C, water and is a staple in my daily routine. I put it in my shakes, soups and oatmeal.

just a piece of info... i'm not sure how true this is but this is what i've read. 1. always keep it refrigerated 2. never shake vigorously 3. never put it in the blender with the shake, the shaking disrupts the delicate chains and branches of the fats...

quote: "shake well to disperse flax particulates" that's what it says on my flax seed bottle (barlean's) where did you hear that? ------------------ quote:

my bottle is from the cold pressed flax, and all that fancy stuff. Instructions read, do not stir or mix vigorously. theory behind it cuz i read it in other places as well was that it broke the bonds and chains the fatty acids had.

that makes no sense? molecular bonds and chains? (they are NOT that fragile) weird? barlean's is cold pressed as well. don't you think that it would be disturbed during shipping/handling? ------------------ quote:

Depends on your diet macro. How much fat do you need? One tblspn=14g of fat. ------------------

These are some of the advantages of Flaxseed oil (taken from the ProteinFactory page): -Stimulate steroid production Omega 3 fatty acids (contained in Flaxseed oil) also help you to keep healthy and strongth joints, mobilization and oxidation of body fat, etc. The quantity will obviously depend on your diet requirements i.e. calories. You must take into account that fats have 9 calories per gram as opposed to the 4 cal/gr provided by carbs and Proteins. Another point to take into consideration is that excessive Omega 3s are not benefitial either, and you must have a good balance of Omega 6s to Omega 3s (I think the ratio is 5:1) to ensure you get all the benefits mentioned above. Valdez, yeah i do think their suppossed bonds or links or whatever would be damaged or destroyed according to their theory on it during the shipping part. BUT... if you walk into any supplement shop around here they always keep it refrigerated. Why is that? Well it goes back to the theory of shaking it vigorously. I'm sure they got a box of it in the back just sitting there in the heat, and keep a few in the fridge just for looks. Honestly i don't know what to believe about the whole flaxseed oil thing, i just use the crap and i don't shake it like an animal before i pour it.. lol

Use it! Definitely one of the best legal supps out there. I suggest just taking some in a tablespoon liek usually recommended on the labels and swigg'n that shit down before your protein shake rather than mixing it in with your shake. ------------------ |
