The creatine is a good idea but, instead of taking 5 grams a day for 4 times a day for one week(aka loading phase) try taking only 5 grams a day.You will get the same results either way and spend less money.Drink plenty of water. The protein powder is good if you can't get enough protein from food alone, but if you can, the protein powder won't offer any extra benefit. The weight gainer and "shit load of food" is a good idea if you don't mind gaining muscle with a good amount of fat.If you do then cut the weight gainer from your list and just eat a ton of food, clean food if you're trying to watch your weight.Add a cheap multivitamin with vitamin c and you're set.I hope this helps.

Weight Gainer is low in fat, so Use it. But If your strapped for cash, Use L-Glutamine. Instead of Creatine,

And you do have to Load Creatine. Contrary to some people's opinion's. I have tried it both ways.

N-Large by ProLabs is a Good Gainer. only 5g of Fat, 52g of Protein.

L-Glutamine
Creatine

And your all set, just go buy a shit load of
Eggs, Egg whites, Tuna, Cottage Cheese, Chicken Breast, WHole wheat bread, Oatmeal. Etc.

I see your in london. If you need help finding good deals in the area let me know,

You don't have to "load" creatine that is a "load" of bullshit. weight gainer is not the best idea. get calories from whole foods, it is very very easy. to get enough calories you must eat often. it is so remarkebly easy to eat enough natural foods. why waste your money paying for "weight gainers" and other synthetic garbage??

I don't mean to sound harsh, but "weight gainers" are totally unnecessary. Do you think that fat-asses use weight gainer to be 35+ lbs overwieght?? hell no, and you don't need to either (even though your trying to put on muscle.)

Valdez, Step off.

When I say weight gainer, I mean like N-Large, Not some cheap Fat loaded shit. And I find that Protein Shakes are cheaper than FOOD. And I like the variety. Fuck man take a chill pill.

And yes Creatine needs to be loaded. So do what ya want. But it does. And for what you load it isn't a waste.

Man how old are you? Learn, Read,

There was research done by Univerities, and they found that the group that loaded gained more then the Group that just did a Maintenance dose.

Kool aid, if you feel like the loading phase is a must then hey good for you but I really do believe he will get the same benefit from creatine if one were to choose just to use the maintenence phase, also possible side effects like diareha, bloating etc. can be greatly avoided this way.

Also I agree with Valdez, weight gainers are a waste of money.Just because they're low in fat doesn't mean they're nutritious, they could be high in sugar and other shit.

I am always very weary of "scientific studies" I'd be interested in who did this creatine study. If it is done by a supplement manufacturer I would rather just throw the study in the trash than waste my time reading it. those studies are hardly ever done on trained athletes (like us).

There was a post about pyruvate. and it's effectiveness, in a study. the study I read in that post showed very positive feedback leading us to believe that pyruvate is a very good ergogenic aid.
HOWEVER: one of my friends is in med school at the moment. he's a former AS user (bodybuilder) and very smart. He did a research paper on pyruvate finding that even at a dose of 25-30 grams daily it did nothing but produce gastrointestinal upset.

Anyway back to the point! I don't think you need to load creatine because your body can only absorb so much at one time.

Prolab's N-large is actually a very good weight gainer. It is one of the very few that I would reccomend to anyone.

I prefer whole foods though.

Ah! I just noticed in your post it was done by universities. that's good. but beware of where the funding is coming from.

Yeah, I suppose. But I guess that I shouldn't call N-Large a weight Gainer. seeing as everyone gives them a bad name. Hmmm how about MRPWG.

Whole foods are good, But like I said the N-Large works out to be just as cheap as a meal, and then I know I am getting my Amino's.

Bart Boy, Man I think I know a little about good/bad wieght Gainers. How long you been doing this?

N-Large is a GOOD weight Gainer. it is just a higher Protein/ Carb Shake.

I have mixed views on the Creatine Loading thing. When I load I use 15g. Not 20-30g

So I guess whatever works for the person using it. But I did read that study done by the UNiversities. And they never cited any Brand Names, So I can't see them being paid off? Maybe though.
