i've used EAS since they first came out. thought it was a good product, however as they have grown, and tried to get more of the market (and $$) i've heard that the qulaity has dropped. any opinions on this?

I used Myoplex for the first full two years I began lifting and had excellent results.....but I now use GNC Whey Protein and it costs about a third of the EAS products and I've continued to grow. I think Myoplex tastes great though. delts ------------------

I think EAS products are high quality but they are rather expensive. I use the myoplex because I like the taste, I think the simply protien is the best buy though..

I think any EAS product is a waste of money. But thats just my opinion. ------------------

EAS has always been more hype than substance. Weider labs, of all people, has been producing their stuff for some now- not exactly high tech innovators, you know. Once Bill Phillips claimed that HMB "feels like deca" they were finally exposed for the cons they have always been. Slick ads, hype and high prices does not quality make. They have fooled lots of folks over the years, though, who take their word as gospel...

I find ProLab N'Large 2 , to be better tasting and way cheaper than Myoplex, And it has Amino's. I have used EAS, and I agree alot of hype.

I like Myoplex, however all of their products have changed since Weider took over. As far as quality, they're fine, but overpriced, not usually worth the additional dollars.

When Bill Phillips ran the company, it was very reputable, and met label claims, but ever since he sold it, rumor is the quality has started to go downhill, particulaly with the Simply Protein product.

I trust EAS products and their quality. In addition, the Chocalate Lover's Myoplex variety pack kicks ass. My main problem is the fact that EAS stuff is consistently priced at least 20% higher than comparible brands. If you plan on using supplements consistently for any extended period of time, cost is a major factor, and for this reason, I don't buy EAS supplements any more. ------------------

They haven't led the way with anything new in years. I think it's overpriced. As for GNC, their Creatine is bad as it gives me diarhea, and I have never been impressed with their products. Their prices are rediculous, the last time I shopped there the only non-gnc brands fit on one small shelf. I shop exclusively on-line. There are others, simply do a search and you will bring up a dozen sites at least, but I have been using dpsnutrition.com. And no, I have no stake in the site, although they should give me stock options for all of the money I have spent there.

The rumors of the quality of EAS going down were mentioned over a t-mag, so be a little weary. I'd like to see a copy of the lab analysis. I use to read the old MM2K since 1994, so I'm one of the first EAS users. Yes, there products worked amazing for me, but now, you see that those products were just your basics. Creatine was first marketed to mainstream folks by EAS, so was vanadyl, and both worked for me. Way overpriced but worked nonetheless. They were definately pioneers in bodybuilding supplementation. There products now I don't use. Way overpriced, and nothing special. But, if you ever get a chance, try that orange jubilee myoplex. Damn it taste good, just like a Push-Up.

I used their products for years and I do believe they are of a good quality. It is true that they are expensive but I'd rather pay that little bit extra for products I can trust. However, now that I have learnt that Weider is now making their products I will be very reluctant to buy anything from them from now on. It's just so hypocritical. For's years he raved on about how he was putting all this money into EAS to develop new quality products and how he wouldn't take advertising from companies whose products he believed were below par. He would often accuse Weider, Musclemag etc of just wanting the bucks as they would accept any advertising no matter what the product was. Bill would say he's not interested in the money he just wants to provide people with good information and good products. But now Weider producing his products. I think he will lose a lot of credibility due to this. |
