what's the deal lately? I've been on elitefitness for a good amount of time and this board, is going south?

any new supplements to talk about?
1. all GHB precursers are illegal now!
2. creatine's still legal (micronized.)
3. a new non-stimulant fat burner is coming soon. (ephedrine gives me mau-chang dick, haha)
4. uuuuuhhhhh flax oil is good too

can anyone help me get some life back in this "bored"

Let's all list supplements that we believe all have tried and rate them. List brands, types of protein, creatine, glutamine, whatever pops in your head....I'll go first.
Lets rate them using the Five Star Method and list the reason why you gave it the rating you did (*****)

MEAL REPLACEMENTS

1. Muscle Link Muscle Meals (MRP)
*****
Nutritionally complete. It has a great protein blend (micellar casein, whey protein concentrate, egg, glutamine peptide) and it has 10 grams of glutamine peptide per serving. This product has helped me recover between workouts like no other product I have ever used. It also has 11 grams of EFAs.

2. Met-rx Original
*
I never had a MRP that upset my stomach as much as Met-rx original mrps have. I'm guessing it has too much lactose.

3. Twinlabs Rx Fuel
*
It tasted horrible and gave me upset stomachs.

4. EAS Myoplex Deluxe
***
It was a pretty decent product, but I hated the texture. It was like cake batter. The taste was ok, but I don't really have
anything good to say about it.

5. Muscle Tech MesoTech
**
Ok, I used a MT product, SUE ME!! I don't believe that whey protein should be taken by itself. It gets absorbed too quickly. The texture and the taste of this product was horrible.

6. AST Nytro Pro 40
****
I was actually very surprised when I tried this product. The taste was pretty good (chocolate) and it the protein blend was pretty good. I recovered quicker between workouts.

7. Champion Nutrition Met Max
*****
This product was very good. It wasn't as nutritionally complete like Muscle Meals was, but I liked the taste and it gave me a tighter look.

8. Dorian Yates Pro MR
*****
This product is very similar to Muscle Meals. It tasted really good I liked the Chocolate and Vanilla the best. It has 10 grams of glutamine peptide. The only drawback is I stopped using products that contain aspartame and this product has aspartame. It also is more expensive than Muscle Meals, so there's no real point in buying a supplement at a higher price that is the same as Muscle Meals.

9. Growth Factor X
****
A good supplement. I liked the taste and it was nutritionally complete. The only problem was that I emailed the president of GEN and asked him how much glutamine peptide this product had. He said, "well, I can't really tell you exactly how much. it's just one of those secret questions that if I told you, I'd have to kill you..haha!" Yeah, very funny. In other words, "I do not know." Don't trust them. If they can't even give you good information on their products, they probably don't know what the hell they're doing. I always talk to Dan Gwartney and he gives me tons of information about Muscle Link products. The same goes for Steve Holeman. Very nice guys.

PROTEIN POWDERS

1. Muscle Link Pro Fusion
*****
Same response as Muscle Meals.

2. Designer Protein
*
I was not impressed with this product at all. It tastes like crap in my opinion. I don't know why they say it tastes so good. Yeah maybe in milk. I don't take protein powders or meal replacements with milk. I take it with water with added fruit.

3. HDT Pro Blend 55
***
It was an ok product. The taste wasn't bad and it wasn't that great. I like protein blends and this product is about average in quality. It's pretty cheap too.

CREATINE

1. Muscle Link Anavol-R (Creatine Transport)
*****
This product helped me gain good amounts of mass. I really enjoyed. It is backed up with a lot of scientific information. Usually I can't tolerate creatine transports very well, but this was the only one I was able to handle. Ok taste, good results. And I did not get fat while taking it.

2. Muscle Link Creatine Elite (Effervescent)
*****
This product tastes pretty good. I noticed a big difference in strength while taking it. I did not get fat while using it. It is very easy to handle. No stomach upset.

3. GEN Creavescent
****
It was pretty good. The taste was good, but I it wasn't effective as Creatine Elite was. Maybe, because it was used with fructose instead of dextrose.

4. Prolab CreaPure Creatine
**
I got stronger while taking it, but my body just couldn't tolerate it. I felt really sick while I was on this product. It has worked well for my friends, but it was just not for me.

Twinlab Creatine Fuel (capsules)
*
Good news, didn't get any stomach problems, but I didn't see any changes either. No bad results, no good results, but my wallet lost 20 bucks, that's it.

EFAs
1. Muscle Link Omega Stack
*****
I believe any EFA product will benefit you the same. Can't really go wrong with it.

I have more stuff to post, but I think I'll stop.

WOW! Nice post, HIT. I totally agree with you on the Muscle Meals (I liked the sample so much I bought a case of the stuff, and I NEVER do that!), Designer, and the Myoplex. Cake batter, good one! I think I like the ProBlend 55 a little better than you, though.

I'll add another: Lean Body MRP and bars. Good stuff!! The chocolate MRP tastes great, mixes up quite well and doesn't sit in my gut like a rock like many others do. The bars are pretty tasty also. Oh ya, the star system.

Lean body MRP *****
Lean Body bars *****

Attn HIT: you have a lot of free time on your hands don'tcha'?? LOL thanks for the informative response.

I have really enjoyed these supplements:
1. www.proteinfactory.com's whey protein (banana flavor)
2. Nature Made: multi-vitamin, ginko biloba, and Kava Kava, also Saw Palmento!
3. I like designer protein too!
4. ZMA-PM was good
5. Melatonin (good antioxidant too)
6. AST micronized creatine good stuff
7. Monarch 100proof Vodka (J/K) LOL
8. Cocoa butter, vit E oil for stretch marks. (I like cocoa butter better)

This is a small list of products I DID NOT like:
1. any ECA (messes with blood flow to my soldier)but hydrocycut was good as was twin lab's famous ripped fuel. heard good things about Lipodex? (sp)
2. weight gainer formula (uuggh!) really unhealthy for consumption. (MRP's can be good but the gainers are just terrible for you)
3. every andro that I ever tried. I officially hate andro (for the record) it is useless for muscle building value
(it can make some girls a little horny though!!)

I really don't have any specific brand that I love/hate. I do however feel that supp's muscle building potential are highly overated. STUDY NUTRITION FIRST. then supplement. Basically the better health you are in the better you will grow. so for bulking sup aren't as necessary in high amounts:
1. Creatine, Protein, MRP's and Flax seed oil
vitamins, melotonin,etc.

losing fat is a diff issue, supp can help more there:
1. ECA's, Protein, Flax seed oil/ EFA's, vitamins, herbs, etc.

actually those do look similar?? oh well

DIET and SUPPLEMENTS {ARE} the same thing, really!!! diet+supplements= diet.
so don't supp. if you got NO DIET.

I have never tried muscle meals before I am gonna have to. I think EAS Myoplex Deluxe Chocalate is the best tasting one I've ever had when you say it is like cake batter maybe try and add alittle water to it,are you mixing it in a blender? The Desinger is SHIT talk about drinking nasty choc. sand. As for creatine nothing seems to work for me. ECA type stacks I would say AST Dymetdrine xtreme is the best I've used so far.
