I'm surprised that after taking vitamin 'c' one night I literally slept thru the night & I thought I must have been dead tired, but I took it again & the same thing happen,so I stop taking it for a night & I could'nt sleep well, so I took it again last night & it worked like a charm,I don't understand it because I've been having a hard time falling asleep for a long time & merely taking 'V.C' cured my problem, can anyone help explained. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||

I understand your situation completely! I've been taking a variety of supplements to see how they work for me for various things. I've come across several basic supplements that do more for me than years of trial and error ever did. I started taking alpha lipoic acid about 9 months ago and almost as soon as I did, the extra fat seemed to go away without any additional effort. Almost 2 weeks ago I started taking a rare variety of Kava Kava and my sleep and stress problems vanished. Both of these supplements are used by others and the success is varied. I'm currently collecting a body of research on why certain supplements work well for some persons and not so well for others. I'm getting pretty deep into the speculative aspects of biochemistry/physiology, but so far I've gotten some interesting ideas. I think thus far it has to do with a certain balance of nutrients and physiological properties that is different for each of us--the key being how to identify which nutrient our body is needing for it to keep or restore balance. I'll probably never know the answer for sure...but I'll keep you posted in any case. I know this doesn't exactly answer your question, but the best answer I think anyone can give is that everyone's body chemistry is different. Supplements affect everyone differently and that's why Vitamin C affects you in that particular way. By the way, you didn't mention whether or not the vitamin C-induced sleep was beneficial or not, but I must assume that it was. Take care. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
