bruhz, I am ready to cut up but I don't know how. I am 5'10 weigh 185 and I think my bodyfat is around 12%. I can only see my upper abs. Is there any way to get cut without losing the precious muscle mass I've put on? I supplement with creatine, designer protien shakes, vitamins C & E as well as a multi and l-glut. What fat buener will get me cut up? My doc wrote me a script for something called faster(sp) 30mg and told me to take it twice a day before my workouts. Is this a good fat burner?

Find out your BMR (basal metabolic rate) You can try this site: www.weight-free-lifestyles.com/metaboli.htm You have to either consume less calories than your BMR or exercise to burn more calories. I prefer to increase cardio, rather than eat less calories. I feel that this helps me with holding onto muscle. First make sure that you take in enough Protein. 1 - 2 grams per pound of bodyweight. Slowly cut your carbs back. You have to do cardio 3 - 4 times a week for about 30 minutes. Interval cardio works real well. Some good fat burners are adipokinetix, Ripped Fuel extreme. Start the supplements out on a low dosage and work your way up to the maximum dosage. Don't take the fat burners on the weekend so that your body doesn't get used to it. Drink lot's of water. Be consistent. Good luck. Some succeed because they are destined to, most succeed because they are determined to

Actually your BMR is how many calories you'd burn if you'd did nothing but lay in bed all day. Not sleeping, but just laying there doing nothing. Someone else jump in here and correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway the point is that you'll need to find your BMR, then add in the amount of activity you have in a day to figure out how many calories you'll burn in a day. Then you'll have a starting point.

Your right cabexbx. What you want to find is your AMR-active metabolic rate. You can subtract calories from there and/or increase cardio to lose fat. When I calculated mine recently I was supprised to find out that I was not eating nearly enough to lose fat and maintain muscle. The article on the elitefitness home page about Marc's transformation has a good link to a AMR calculator. Later,

Hey Midnight, Let me know how that fat burner works. My doctor is a heavy woman and gets onto me when I tell her I'm gaining fat. All she does is pinch my skin and tell me I have muscle and it weights more than fat. Like I don't know that. I get my body fat done so I know that I'm gaining fat. I just need a little help. If it works for you maybe I can convience her to give me some. |
