I know many people who don't like using aspartame or sweet and low. What are the other options, and where do you buy them? lala IP: Logged |

i don't use too much sugar, but if I'm going to sweeten something like coffee or cereal I'll just use regular sugar. Somebody else jump in here and correct me if I'm wrong but I think it's only like 14 calories for each of those little packets of sugar. And I think those are supposed to be a teaspoon? IP: Logged |

I use every artificial sweetener under the sun and have been for years without any problems. To get cancer from aspartame, you'd basically have to drink a few dozen galons of diet coke every day all day. Besides Equal (aspartame) I also use Sugar Twin (sodium cyclamate+dextrose), Splenda (sucralose - no health threats/hazards at all but costs more), acesulfame potassium (found largely in aspartame-free protein drinks and in diet sodas in small amounts) and finally, Stevia (all natural with a laundry list of health benefits, including prebiotics, but expensive as hell!). Any of the above is better than table sugar. IP: Logged |

I use sweet and low, equal, whatever. No calories and I dont believe all that canvcer stuff anyway. It enhances taste on cereal, shakes, fruit etc. Cigarettes may cause cancer and lawsuits are everywhere. If this causes cancer where are the lawsuits by scumbag lawyers? IP: Logged |

I wasn't too preoccupied about the cancer thing. I just know that their are claims that aspartame increases your appetite and stops some people from reaching ketosis. I believe there are more complaints about aspartame to the fda than any other foodstuff, by far. Again this is what i've read from previous threads. One moderator here on this mag does not touch the stuff. I think I'll try stevia. lala IP: Logged |
