Can you give us a bit more specific information; what's your exact goal, where are you at now, how tight's the budget, are you staying natural, etc. IP: Logged |

If you want to gain weight, exeriment with different high-calorie intakes to determine how many calories you need to put on muscle without too much fat. Start with 15 x bodyweight (2550 cal) for a week or two, and if you're storing too much, bring it down, or if you're not gaining any weight, go up. Never let yourself gain too much body fat, and don't start a bulk cycle unless you're at 10% body fat or less. Start by eating 50% carbs, 30% protein, 20% fat, but don't eat more than 1g protein/lb of body weight, because people who are natural (like yours truly) will only convert the exess protein to glucose (which is awful as it imairs your body's ability to use protein for muscle repair), piss it out as nitrogen or store it as bodyfat. Try to eat every three hours. Have liquid carbs and protein after working out, and solid carbs and protein an hour later. Go easy on the carbs at night. Take vitamins C and E plus a multivitamin. Have one protein shake with liquid carbs after a workout, but other than that get your nutrients from food - lean red meat, chicken breast, fibrous veggies, oatmeal, brown rice, pasta, potatos... See what foods agree with you and figure out how many calories you need to gain muscle with only a bit of fat. Cheat once a week, keeping it reasonable. Good luck. IP: Logged |

Be generous with carbs. You can still eat "clean" but high calorie. One summer I ate all the time and I gained alot. Some of it was fat but I totally transformed myself. IP: Logged |

It really depends on your metabolism. I know lots of people who do it that way and it works great - I'm not one of those people - I get as fat as a Christmas ham if I try. All in all, experimentatio is the key - you have to know your own body. IP: Logged |
