I am tempted. This is week 2 of CKD for me. I ate all I wanted last weekend, and during the week I survive on baked chicken breast and peanut butter and water and a couple of tea spoons of flax seed oil per day. I am on 2 diet fuels first thing in the am before workouts, 5 days per week. I feel pretty wired, but I look leaner already. I am at like 8% bf now at 210 lbs and I am 6ft. What is the consensus on this? This would be the first time I have ever seen abdominals on me, and I am very anxious to bring it on. Thanks For Any Info IP: Logged |

Miles, The whole point behind CKD for cutting is to preserve as much muscle as possible when dieting down(by way of ketosis, increased testosterone from fat consumption)When you take t3 and stimulate your throid you are going to burn anything and everything including muscle! Unless, you are taking AS, then the juice would be strong enough to prevent excessive muscle catabolism. This is just my view. IP: Logged |

Chicken and peanut butter? Are you sure you're on the CKD? I hope you're eating the skin on that bird. Ragin Asian ------------------ IP: Logged |

Hey guys thanks for getting back. During the week I am eating all chicken breast and tuna fish with peanut butter and flax seed oil all mushed together. It is yucky as shit, but it is working. I just hit 200mg of test pluse 100mg of equipose to keep catabolism down. I'll probably hit at least that every week. My total calories are low about 2400 per day, but I am not hungry, I just feel sort of greasy and gross. Workouts are really intense because I am pissed off at an old girl friend. At least she was good for something. I did 25mg T3 yesterday and today and I didn't die or anything. I guess I am scared to ramp it up to 100mg of T3 because of what happened to Texas Guns. Has anyone else done all this shit at once before? IP: Logged |

Miles, since your on test and eq, why bother with the CKD? You could just lower your over all cals and do a normal high pro,med carb, low fat diet. With the juice and then t3 on top of that I don't see the point of putting yourself through all the greasy fat eating and no carb insainity(by the way you need more animal fats in your CKD). With AS preserving your muscle and t3 speeding up your thyroid, do some good cardio and you can easily get to the % your looking for. (I can't stand how greasy I feel as well on CKD,I wash my face at least 6 times a day) IP: Logged |

Mossimo, thanks for the reply. So you think a good idea would be to just eat regular, reduced calorie, hi pro, complex carbo, low fat diet, do some extra cardio, hit about 1 amp sus and 200mgs or so of eq, per week, along with the T3? What kind of a taper on/off is best with T3. I know it differs for different people, but 20,20,40,40,20,20 mgs/per day be a safe first cycle for T3? I read somewhere people got up to like 100mgs per day. Would that cycle do shit for me? Does anyone know how to tell if your thyroid is fucked up afterwards? IP: Logged |

Sorry, but I don't know that much about T3 or any gear. What I do know, and know well (or so I'd like to think)is the CKD, and you my friend, are not on it. If you eat any serious quantity of peanut butter, even if it has no sugar, there's a good chance you won't be in ketosis (are you at least testing for ketosis?). Furthermore, if AT THE VERY LEAST 65-70% of your calories aren't coming from fat, you won't be in ketosis. Let me rephrase that, you might be able to make ketosis EVENTUALLY on lower fat intakes, but won't establish it quickly enough after you carb load on the weekend to lose any real fat during the week. Protein is only partially ketogenic i.e. your body turns about half to glucose (carbs are 100% non-ketogenic, and fat is about 90% ketogenic). Ketosis requires low blood glucose + depleated liver glycogen. Having said that, cutting carbs to very low levels and deriving all energy from fat and protein (and if you're not in keto, much energy will come from protein being turned to glucose) on a low calorie diet might still make you lean, but it will fuck up your body's sensitivity to protein. Your body will become adept at using protein for fuel and you will need huge quantities just to maintain mass, plus you'll get none of the protein-sparing benefits of ketosis (which is why keto requires so little protein - none gets used for energy). So if you're gonna do a CKD, please do so properly, because it pains me to see people do the same stupid shit that I did before getting all the info on what is probably the most complicated and technical diet around. p.s. with all that gear you don't need ketosis to spare muscle tissue while dieting - your "supplements" will take care of that IP: Logged |

Vlaovic, thanks for the input! Really useful information for me. I hate being stupid. I think I'll just go back to normal eating. 200g's protein (chicken), complex carbs (brocolli), low fat (1 tsp flax, 3 tsps mayo), no sugar, and gobs of H20. I did 40mgs of T3 this morning and I feel pretty warm all over. Workout was pretty crappy, but I got through it. Cutting is WAY THE FUCK harder than growing. IP: Logged |

Yeah, it is a lot harder. Since you're doing that much gear though, you really shouldn't kill yourself with something as extreme as CKD to preserve muscle. It's a hard diet to figure out since it works so damn differently for everyone. It can get frustrating, trying to find the best schedule for your body on the CKD, so stick with the fiber and protein-rich diet you described (mmmm...brocolli - yeah right!) and best of luck. I'm sure you won't lose muscle with all the stuff you're doing. IP: Logged |

First, it is MCG (micrograms) not MG (milligrams) of T3. Milligrams will kill you. Second, your cycle of T3 that you posted, will not do anything to your thyroid. You would be hard pressed to find anyone who has permanently suppressed their thyroid from T3 use, and there is a good possibility that they had pre-existing problems to begin with. IP: Logged |
