I just relized I am getting tired of chicken eggs and tuna after a couple years. I also just relized I never eat red meat. I can't remember the last time I ate red meat. My question; what is the best cut of beef and what are the nutritional facts on it? IP: Logged |

I prefer flank steak. The only "problem" is that sometimes there'se fat on the inside that you don't see while buying the meat. If you eat it once per day however, it won't hurt you - in fact the saturated fat will boost up your testosterone. Generally, 100g of lean, trimmed flank steak cooked will get you 27g protein, 10g fat. It tastes amazing when merinaded with red wine or balsamic vinegar - add soy sauce too, if you like it. not too mention red meat contains creatine and glutamine, also very dense in quality protein, and like someone said before- raises testosterone. I honestly can't see how anyone can bulk without red meat. What's the leanest cut of steak? Sirloin? IP: Logged |

Filets are the leanest cut, I have read that fact around 100 times easy. For a 3 1/2 oz piece the protein is a solid 25 grams. Yes it has creatine in it but not enough to make a noticable difference whatsoever even if you ate 5lbs a day. Also glutamine is basically in any type of protein. The big difference in red meat that other meats dont have as much of is Iron. IP: Logged |

I do not eat red meat at all. This is probably why my Testosterone count is 323, that is low as hell. IP: Logged |
