Do fat burners mess up your metabolism. In other words, will I gain weight once I stop taking them? I'm interested in taking adipo and I have 40 tabs of clenbuterol, but I really don't want to screw up my thyroid or metabolism. I've been working out, eating right and I look firmer than ever. But I'm not used to being so meaty. I've always been pretty thin (small frame 5'3 110 lbs a little flabby, skinny). Now I'm at 120 but with muscle and pretty firm. I want to get rid of my tummy fat. I'm a little sensitive with mahuang products(ephedrine). I could only take about one a day or it gives me an anxiety attack. I have a couple of friends that are only taking about one or two a day. Is that a sufficient amount to burn fat? They take metabolife which contains 12 mgs of ephedrine and 40 mgs of caffiene. I want to look great by labor day- first trip with new boyfriend and honestly I just really want a six pack- finally. I work out my abs with the torso track and do 45 min of cardio 4x a wk. please respond, lala IP: Logged |

well lala, generally women can get by on a lower dose but I suggest u just tuff it out for the first couple of days and u're body will adjust and u'll be fine, trust me it felt the same way. Also, no fat burner will change your metabolism once you go off no matter what you do. However, Thyroid drugs CAN change your thyroid function and make u dependant on the drug and can even make your throid gland almost completly inactive. Hope this helps IP: Logged |

the fat burners don't change your thyroid they just increase the metabolism, which cause the thyroid to work a little harder. Once you stop taking the thyroid will go back to normal the regulators just bring it back quicker. I would say to take a thyroid regulator after you come off a fat butner. The only one I know of the top of my head is guggle bolic, but there are others out there I am sure so search around and find one. Good luck ------------------ IP: Logged |

The Guggle bolic is a good idea and should be taken to bring the thyroid back to regular production. The thyroid will go back on its own but these supps just help it along a little faster ------------------ IP: Logged |

Hey lala - Try Hydroxycut if you've never done it before. The first time I used it I had a shredded stomach and lost a lot of fat. Take the recommended dosage and keep up on the cardio. Also, I just changed my diet and am now doing something similar to the One Meal a Day (you eat 6 times a day to keep your metabolism up you just don't consume a large amount of carbs during the day) and I've noticed not only have I dropped fat from all areas but my lower stomach, which always seemed to 'pooch' out even though I didn't have fat there, is now flat. You may just want to look into changing your eating habits if you've been doing the same thing for awhile. IP: Logged |

If you are prone to anxiety attacks, then all the ephedra, ephedrine, norephedrine, and yohimbine containing products may exacerbate this problem. The metabolic boosting effects of the EC stack used 25mg of E and 200mg of C/3x's a day in the original studies and the subjects were WOMEN. This amount will increase metabolism approximatly 3% above normal. IP: Logged |

I know it surely isn't 30% but 3% looks very low. I red about a study that shows green tea could increase metabolism about 8%. IP: Logged |
