this diet is where you are supose to eat high protein low fat and low carb for 5 days, and pig out the 2 days of the weekend, and you are suppose to lean out, and build muscle at the same time, has anybody tried this method yet, if you did tell me your results? thanx

I think you are confusing the Zig Zag diet with a cyclical ketogenic diet (CKD). The Zig Zag diet is a concept introduced by Fred Hatfield and is meant to allow you to build muscle while keeping fat gains to minimum, or gradually drop fat while maintaining muscle. It involves no depletion/loading of carbs, merely cycling the week between low and high calorie days. A CKD on the other hand involves 5 days of carb depletion and 2 days of loading, but it's not low fat, it's high fat moderate protein.

I just like to go low carbs day 1, medium day 2, high day 3. Protein always through the roof regardless of carbs even though some say reduce protein a little on high carb days, I don't buy that. Fat doesn't need to change much either. I find this method really lets u fill up with glycogen and look full without spilling over.

When I'm not doing a ketogenic diet, hat's almost exactly the same method I use for cutting up without loosing muscle or looking flat. I also throw in a cheat meal every week, but never go overboard because the high carb day keeps me satisfied psychologiacally. It really makes no sense to eat exactly the same way 6 or 7 times per week while dieting - metabolism just slows too much.

yeah Seeseerider knows what he's talkin about, it's ABC by Chris Aceto, I don't know about this muscle and fitness bullshit though. And it's not the reduction of CALORIES that is the issue, it's reducing CARBS. Calories will go down from the carb reduction, don't reduce your protein and fat intake, not total cal reduction.

What's in M&F is just an abreviated summary of the ABCDE "diet" found on the MM2K website. Don't try it based on the information in that rediculously short, goffy-ass undetailed excuse for an article! It's a complicated diet and if you fuck up you can get flabby and lose muscle in a real hurry!
