I was researching Lyle Macdonald's take on the CKD and was on the solid.net website and could not get his week to week posts to come up. All the other info was still available but not his 26 weeks of dieting journal. Anyone know where else they might be posted or available online? Thanks IP: Logged |

Good question! I ran into the exact same problem a while back. The diary entries ARE actually there, there is just something wrong with the link. The way to get into them is simply type: http://www.solid.net/lowcarb/lylemcd/week01.htm for week 1, and just change the number at the end to get week 2, etc. All 26 are there, but this is the only way I know of to get them. Also, be aware that on one of the entries, Lyle discusses the Ketogenic Ratio. Don't listen to what he sais about it!! Months or years later, he realized that his calculations were completely off, and made the correction in his book. His revised method for figuring out how to eat on Body Opus to loose fat is body weight x12 in calories. Then, 0.9 to 1.0g per pound of LEAN BODY MASS (not weight) in protein, plus 10-20g carbs all multiplied by four. Then take this number away from your calories, and divide what's left by 9 to get grams of fat. Go to the archives of Mesomorphisis.com for more details in his newer articles. No problem! If you've read all the info from Lyle's article Parts 1, 2 and 3 off that website, plus some of the entries, it'll be more than enough to hold you over 'till your book gets delivered. I think the more of Lyle's stuff you read, the more respect you'll have for him, and the more you'll appreciate some of the hell he went through! Happy reading and Body Opusizing! IP: Logged |
