I have started my bulking diet today. I am 6ft 200lbs. This is what I had, split between 7 meals. Protein:300grms Carbs :490grms Fat :64grms Cals :3900. Does this look Ok.How do you work out the %'s Thanks | ||

My opinion is at least eat 4,750-5,000 calories.. and dont worry.. only a small amount will be fat. | ||

I would increase the fats with some efa's ( flaxseed oil ) unless you already did. ------------------ | ||

If it was me, I'd keep protein and carbs about equal - maybe 400g each, with about 70-80g fat. 490g carbs might be overkill and the calories could be better put to use for muscle repair i.e. protein. Then again, your metabolism might need the extra carbs. Experiment and see. A good place to start is 20% fat (less lowers testosterone - include both saturated and unsaturated) 40% each carbs and protein. You might see better gains with more protein, you might see better gains with more carbs - every body is different, so unfortunately it comes down to trial and error and personal experience rather than a magic formula of set percentages. | ||
