hey guys I'm havin some medical tests done on friday morning, the problem is I can't eat anythin after 12 tommoro (thursday)in the afternoon till after the tests on friday morning! I'm cutting right now and gettin close to judgement day. To plan ahead a little I ate like an animal possesed to try to supersaturate my muscles with glycogen to prepare for tommoro. I was thinkin of doing my morning cardio at 11:00-11:45 and then eating a mother of a meal at 11:45. I was thinking of eating like a big protein meal and drinking a 3-4 scoop serving of whey. I'm actually gonna try to choke down 200grams of protein in one sitting. I know that's most likely never gonna get assimilated by my body, but hey it's better than nuthing right? Can't hurt to give it a shot? Can't let a day of fasting eat away at my muscles all day long. What do u guys think, input and advice would be greatly appreciated, thanx bros IP: Logged |

Ahh, An NPO situation...HEHEHE. Maybe add some dietary fat to slow down the gastric emptying. Also, try to add some type of protein like chicken breasts because they too tend to stay in the gut longer. They take longer to break down than powderdered protein like whey. Also, casein proteins turn into a gel-like ball in the stomach; Therefore, something like cottage cheese may help. Keep your carbs complex, and add in some dietary fiber because it also slows down absorption rate. So maybe a meal that contains some chicken breasts, cottage cheese, complex carbs, dietary fat (peanut butter, etc), and dietary fiber would be a meal that would allow your body to keep food in the gut a little longer. But lets get real here, this will only get you so far. Meaning, it will probably get absorbed well before you get your tests. I would not sweat it too much bro, 1 day is not gonna hurt you. You could also throw in some supplements that may help in preventing muscle catabolism if you have the cash. Something like glutamine might work fairly well here. If you do not have a fluid restriction, drink some water throughout the day. Man, I can't really think of anything else right now, so maybe my 2 cents will help you some. IP: Logged |

25 mg of Ephedrine 30-60 minutes before your last meal will also slow down the gastric emptying. Most important of all, don't stress about it, because we all know how catabolic stress can be! ------------------ IP: Logged |
