![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Alright bro, Screw the dieting for now because it looks to me like you are burning way to much muscle during this process. Your best fat burner is your own muscle, so EAT and Build muscle !! I know many people who would diet like crazy, tiny amounts of calories and 1 month later they would look the same as before but just a bit smaller ) a skinny fat person ) Stop with the cardio and lift heavy.Get your 8 to 9 hours of sleep. Multipy your weight x 18 on your non training days. x 20 on your training days. ( adjust if needed )Find a ratio that works well for you and try to include 2 to 3 tablespoons of EFA's. Eventually you will raise your metabolism with the muscle you have built and for next summer you can Slowly reduce your calories and there you have it ! Good luck. Later IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Were you on the Atkin's diet for 2 years, or just not weight training for 2 years (or both)? I get the impression (from another post of yours) that you've ditched the Atkin's diet for now? Otherwise you wouldn't be asking about post-workout carbs. So that's a good first step. The Atkin's diet sucks for people wanting to gain strength or muscle, and isn't much better for people trying to lose fat while maintaining muscle. A Zone/Body Opus/CKD may work better for those purposes, but I think your first priority should be to put some meat on your bones. With your current bodyfat levels you could probably increase your strength with a well- rounded AMR diet. Calculating your AMR (active metabolic rate) may take some work and keeping a diet diary, but once you've got that you can embark on something like a zone diet (40:30:30=carbs:protein:fat). This combined with heavy weight training and some moderate cardio might make a difference. And if you haven't been training for 2 years you need to give yourself some time to increase your strength. Another thing you might consider is getting a blood work-up done (if you haven't already). Some of the problems your having with fat-loss and strength could be tied up with low Test or thyroid levels, as well as other deficiencies you might not be aware of. Liek NYyankee said, plenty of GOOD food, lots of rest and TRAIN. ------------------ IP: Logged |
