Being that this is just about the most important meal what does everyone eat for thier post workout meal. Also specify if it is for bulking or cutting.

my post workout meal is a serving of cell-tech with 10 grams of glutamine and 60 grams of designer whey.. and I also include 30 grams of extra dextrose . This makes the perfect post workout meal for me it includes 10 grams of creatine, 105 grams of dextrose, 10 grams of glutamine, and 60 grams of whey protein.. It's my best post workout meal yet.

Here is what mine looks like: (After a single workout)

10 oz of Grape Juice
10 grams of creatine
2 cups corn flakes with 1.5 cups of skim milk.
and 121.5 grams of whey protein mixed with water.
Comes out to be around 1000 calories.
carb figures are set at 1.5 kilograms per pound of lean bodyweight, which is around 122 grams.
Protein is set at 50% of my daily caloric intake for protein.
This is the biggest meal of the day for me.

Sometime I'll split up my workout into 2 sessions (Chest early and shoulders and Tris later on), which allows my body to take advantage of its super efficient hormonal conditions twice during the day. What I do for this is keep my carbs the same, but instead of 50% protein for each meal, I divide it up into 25% for each postworkout meal.

if you take creatine post gym aren't u pupose to wait a little to let all that get into your system? then have whatever, its' already got the carbs for the muscles so i guess its ok to wait then just go straight to the post meal which is more of the complex carbs and solid protein ???

I was a little worried about having the "runs" before using this approach too, but I have not had one incident yet. This is by far my biggest meal throughout the day. The other 5 meals I try to eat throughout the day are only between 400 and 500 calories each. I try to follow the isocaloric diet/some type of zone type diet for the day. I still eat my most calorieated carb meals early in the day. My later meals are predominately protein. I get my fat intake from mostly peanut butter. Now, if I work out late in the evening or late at night, I still use my same post workout meal plans. On days I do not lift weights, my calorie count is much lower. I do not like to eat too many calories like a lot of people, even when bulking. Most of my protein is easy digesting proteins like whey, casein (milk/cottage cheese), and eggs throughout the day, while my last meal is usually chicken breast with green beans and peanut butter. Anyway, I am getting off the topic now, but no, I have not had any problems with the runs or any thing else. I love this approach, and I have always received great results.

BMJ, your diet sounds exactly the same as mine! That is until I started my cyclical ketogenic diet a little over a week ago - now, my post workout meal is 4 eggs and a tablespoon of mayo.
