I drink 3-4liters of H2O at work,& about 5-6 liters throughout the day. In the evening I notice I look a lot heaver around the waist. But on the weekends when I don't drink much water my waist looks trimmer & tighter. WHY!!
My problem is I take creatine and need the water to stay hydrated. I want to keep a trim waist for summer, so how much water do I take in to stay hydrated & trim the waist?

What is your diet like? If you have a high carb and/or high salt diet, OR are taking androgenic substances then you will retain fluid even with high water intake.

What you've described is also not too different from a common method of dehydration used by bodybuilders pre-competition. They drink LOTS of water through the week (hydrate), then cut way back a day or two before the show. The kidneys remain in 'expel water' mode for 24-36 hours (because that's what they've been doing all week) and accidentally excrete more water than you take in, making you look smaller and tighter. But then the kidneys catch on and start to 'retain' fluid so that when Monday comes around and you start drinking big-time, they're storing it away big time. If this is what's happening to you the best thing you could do is to continue drinking lots of water through the weekend. If you never stop the intake, your kidneys will stay in excrete mode all the time and reduce the 'bloated' look through the week.

I don't have a great diet, but I eat a lot of protein, vegies, chicken, tuns, red meat, I just started eating a lot of carbs again & cutting back on fats.
I just want to lose the excess fat around the waist, without losing muscle mass.
I think the one reason I have trouble dieting down is it takes me so long to put the weight on, It kills me to know I'm getting lighter even though I'm looking better. In my mind I should be, want to be, 280 with 6% bf (my goal). I am 6'6" 240-250 with good defination and mass The problem is geneticaly I should be 6'6" 190 lbs no muscle & a pouch for a belly.

What else should I do about the water & the other problems, Please help.
