I'm going goddamn crazy with my headaches, and even crazier because I don't know why I'm getting them.

I train 5 times a day, 1 hour of cardio after my workouts(which I used to considering I used to be a recreational boxer. I consume approx 100g of protein(bodyweight 140), I eat my tunna, eggs, chicken, gotta have the peanut butter. From time to time I go nuts on sugar......I love sugar. I feel I eat healthy, I get alot of sleep, I'm ONLY 17 yrs(been weightraing for about 4 months), yet I get these HORRIFIC headaches.

You guys I'm going crazy because it's really affect my abilty to perform well in the gym

I also take ace or eca, whatever it's called(3WEEKS ON and 3 OFF).

What's with the headaches and not to mention the loss of energy in the gym. I've always been the athletic type, not to mention the mental strength I hold due to my past boxing experience but........I'm going crazy I can't support these headaches they are driving me crazyyy, plus why the hell am I getting so exhausted in the gym, I'm only 17 and very used to torture.....what's going on with me???????Am I over working myself, burning out?????But boxing why more painful, even moe mentally tehn physically(every day boxing was like doing intensive squats day in and day out....even then the is no comparison.

To confese I actually took a bit of a break from boxing because of the mental state I was in, that damn coach was driving me insane but this time with the help of weightlifting I'm going back twice as hard, and twice as strong. What he didn't know is that I'm not giving up, just mentally and phyically preparing myself for the KILL!!!!!.....now I know how it feels to love some one so much and at the same time have such hate for them..damn coach. He always put me to the test..to failure(one time he almost got the best of me...I almost cried!!!!!!!..I'm a female by the way)

Well I'm blabbing, anyways....Went to see the doctors, he thinks I'm crazy, says I look healthy, he even did examinations and says I'm perfectly heathly. Oh..........man I just felt like saying "WELL DOC why don't I feel healthy...eh????"

Well now I'm really blabbing, any input??????

Sounds like you're not getting enough water. Im not talking liquid... you might drink plenty of juice, gatorade, etc. Try drinking 5 to 8 glasses of pure water a day, even more if you can stomach it. If that doesn't fix it, then nothing will.

Some headaches can come from a strained neck. I had bad headaches a couple of years ago that came from improper crunches. I was placing my hands behind my neck. This caused me to pull on the neck and strain it. Headaches are very difficult to find the starting source. Definately drink more water. Do you think you could be overtraining which causes some headaches? It sounds to me that you could be. Or have some one monitor your lifting to catch something that could be effecting your neck or head.

I once was so caught up with intensity while doing a last set of leg press with some heavy weight that when I did my second to last rep, I started having this really big headache. I had once heard that, that can be to improper breathing and high heartbeats. I checked out my heartbeat right after the headache started and my heart was pounding like crazy... On that perticular set, I wasn't inhaling, exhaling properly cause I was just so damn concentrated on doing the heavy set that I didn't get much inhale and exhale. I continued training after the leg press with some leg curls and took more care to breathing properly while doing a set and the headache slowly faded out while my heartbeat went lower.

This might be your problem, not enough of proper breathing. Especially while doing your cardio, make shure to breath properly and not go on with you holding your breath.

These headaches can be a real pain in the ass and can be even potentially dangerous(I am not positive). Since starting training, I have suffered two of these headaches, one being with chin-ups and the latter being the leg press that I just talked about. Just be more carefull on how you breath and to do your sets slowly with inhale and exhale

Also, don't forget to drink your water, anytime your thirsty or you have a dry troath, drink some water without hesitating. Don't either drink to much of water to the point of beeing full, just enough...

Everybody should care about their body

Espanola,
The Neck Strain that vitaman mentioned is probably the cuase. I see a chiropractor for relief. The main symptoms are a headache forming behind the eyes when any strain such as lifting is done. I become constently tired and function sub par.
It wouldn't hurt to be checked out to make sure this isn't the case. If it is the case simple rest won't fix it.

Well thanks a lot you guys, You've all made some interesting points. Come to think of it, i don't drink much water but I thought loving juice so much that it could be considered somewhat of a substitute.

Another thing you guys mentioned which I thought was quite interesting is my breathing techniques. Sometimes I lift such heavy weights that I put a lot of my attention towards trying to lift the weight and at the same time focusing on my muscle, that I may actually deny myself of proper breathing. Definitely could use improvement in those two aspects.

Thanks again, you guys made better assumptions then my own doctor!!!!!!!

No sweat dude, I used to have chronic headaches just like you mentioned. They were usually preceded by blurry vision. I thought that juice and milk were enough for my water intake, but then I started drinking pure water more often and then suddenly my headaches went away. I used to get at least one a week, but now I haven't had one in over 6 months. Especially with any sort of caffeine, or fat burning stack, it will cause you to lose water like a leaky faucet, so you have to constantly keep pumping water back into yourself.
