I want to lower my bf% so that when football is over i can go back on my mass building diet and not worry abnout getting really fat, so i was wondering if I cut out alot of sugars, like candy and stuff like that would it speed up the fat loss. I do heavy cardio for 45 min on mon wed and fri, then right after my cardio i lift weights ------------------ IP: Logged |

don't forget to ingest glutamine before and after cardio about 2.5g, 10 grams a day; it helps me bigtime. IP: Logged |

Removing simple carbs (sugar, glucose, dextrose, fructose, etc) from your diet is probably the easiest thing you can do to help fat loss. Sugar raises your insulin levels and helps your body store fat. Bad bad. ------------------ IP: Logged |

cutting out simple sugars is good, just dont cut out the complex carbs as well. you need these to burn the fat in the crebs cycle. Rember leave some complex carbs in the diet. IP: Logged |

Any chance you can change your program around so you lift weights first, then do cardio. This allows you to use your muscle glycogen for building more muscle, then when that's all gone and you hit the cardio it won't take you as long to get into the fat-burning groove. I know it's not related to your sugar question. Just thought I'd throw in some unsolicited advice! IP: Logged |

You know you guys I've always been able to resist many junk foods except the numero uno on my hit list-candy candy and more candy. How can I adjust my diet so I wont have to give it up...or will I???? I would like to get that last 8 pounds I've been dieing to get rid of, but the only problem is that I'm a sugar freak. You think the safest bet is sugar-free candy? You can't even trust those these days, I heard sorbital is still sugar but only a limited amount(which then being able to claim it's sugar free). In those candy stores(SUCKERS and sugar mountain to be exact) they can't even tell you which contain aspartame and which contain sorbitol.Even though being suagar-free, they are not considered calorie-free.Am I just fooling myself in beleiving there is a miracle candy!!!!!!There's still carbs in them right???I thought I would ask for advice because I'm very ignorant when it come to sugar-free products. I also heard sorbital digest slowly in the intestines...leaving you with stomach problems. Is that right?I don't want receive a serious case of bowl movements...oh noooooooooo IP: Logged |

I agree, change your routine so that you lift weights first and do cardio after. I read that when you lift weights after a high intensity cardio session, your weight lifting performance is 10-20% weaker. If I were you, I would also decrease the volume of cardio, since you've started practice. You're really overtraining. I don't recommend doing any cardio at all. You're already running a lot in football. IP: Logged |
