hey guys just wondering if anyone has tried eating grapefruit before eating. It's kind of a heresay, but i don't know if it's true or if it works or not. My g/f says it worked for her. Anyone know if this is b.s. or if eating grapefruit actually helps you lose fat?

I think what it is, is that it gives you a fuller more satisfied sensation so you eat less. It is a healthy filler. I read that somewhere a while ago but i don't remember where.

Eating a grapefruit will not help you lose fat.

Eating less calories than you burn will help you lose fat - if you follow a balanced diet and a solid training program. Not to mention getting enough sleep.

Losing fat doesn't happen with the flick of a switch. It's a combination of things that are different for each individual. Of course, there are certain rules to follow, but nothing is carved in stone.

Grapefruit is a fat burner but not for people that really have there diets in check. The people that only eat 3-4 meals or people that are not try to carb depelet for a show do good with it. Some of the fat burners on the market use a citric acid like what you find in grapefruit.

Dude this is way too over-analytical(sp?). Shit, count the grapefruit like you would count any other food. I personally, during the season, eat one or too a day and just treat them like carbs... Damn they're good with some sweet n low, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

I think the idea of eating grapefruit while dieting is that grapefruit has naringin, which seems to aid in fat loss. Eating grapefruit, however will not realyy make you burn more fat.
