hey nobu here, you were kind enough to give me some pionters on my mass diet. you told me to increase my carb intake. i was wondering if there was a specific role that carbs play in the muscle building process; i only know that it is used for energy and to maintain glucose, but is there something else i should know about the importance of carbs? if i eat more carbs i guess i will have to up my cardio to balence things out for a bit because my ody has been used to this diet for about a month. anyways thanks! hey, i always talk to MrMuscle on ICQ, heres what he told me bout carbs.. he'll probably reply later with more details though.. but heres what he told me "Without carbs your done for..thats the eenrgy thats what makes your body able to take up the protein you need" so basiccly he said, without carbs, you would gain no muscle. Carbs help protein turn into muscle. he also said you should have about 10% more carbs then protein. well.. its not that much but like i said he can tell you more about it later IP: Logged |

I use a little greek dressing...0.65 grams of carbs per serving and I believe the oil is olive and soybean oil...10:90 ratio...only 1.4 saturated fat per serving(TBSP)....THe stuff separates easy and a teaspoon goes a long way with CHUNK WHITE TUNA....I think that chunk light tuna tastes like cat ass...never really had cat ass...but I imagine it tastes like chunk light tuna....give it a try... ah yes...the everlasting carb issue...how much, when and how. its all a bunch of crap isnt it.. in my experience carbs is everything. check out my previously diet at http://home.sol.no/~mrmuscle/diet.htm tell me what you see? gaining mass takes a LOT of carbs...you also see that my fat intake is all screwed up on my mass diet...so what you need to do, is get those carbs up...a good calorie split is 40%from carbs, 30% from protein and 30% from fat.

Hey, just eat foods that are high in starch and carbs. They will help you pack on some mass. Reduce your cardio, and pump the iron harder. Don't worry about definition during a mass cycle. Carbs are fuel for muscle growth. Increasing these will help a lot with size and strength. Just don't eat a lot of crap food or fatty shit. IP: Logged |
