i know you don't wanna hear it, but at your age all you have to do is eat. your body is going to grow no matter what so don't worry about it. that is, if your age is what you say it is. as for me, i like 50/30/20 for mass building, with a majority of the 20 coming from efa. oh yeah, and there's no such thing as "gaining muscle extremely fast". guys work their whole lives to put on muscle, and there is no subsitute for hard work. no offense, but i hate little punk asses that come around wanting to know how to get big in 2 months. "i need to add 25 pounds of muscle this summer for football". yeah good luck buddy here's the secret formula...ok i know you weren't saying that but you get my point. ok sorry i got a little carried away there but i guess you could say that's one of my pet peeeeeeeeves. Keep in mind that in order to build an inch on your arms you'll need to gain about 15 pounds of total weight. This is straight from Coach Poliquin's mouth. It also will be somewhat similar for other bodyparts, but will be more for thighs. I like this rule of thumb and can adjust my diet and training accordingly during the mass building phase. In which case you could up your total calories with the 40/30/30 ratio in regards to protein, carbs and fats. I've found it to be pretty accurate for the average weightlifter. Not sure if that properly addressed your question, but I hope it helped nonetheless. IP: Logged |
