I believe everyone is different for what they need to maintain. If I take anything less than 10 grams a day my muscles don't stay sufficiently loaded. The best time to take it is right after your workout with dextrose or some type of non citric juice (grape is good). IP: Logged |

usually your supposed to load for the first week, about 30 grams a day broken into 5-6 servings, take creatine with dextrol for best results. after your loading week, about 5-10 grams a day should do it. note that creatine supposed to make you look bloated so relax when you start to inflate. theres a supplement out there that prevents creatine smoothing it starts with a "T" and is a pretty lengthy name sorry i cant remember it, but its supposed to make you look really cut and huge at the same time by sucking access water out over you body. hopes this helps. nobu, bro would mind researching what the name of that supplement that helps with the water retention from ceatine?i'm on a keto diet and i'll be taking creatine/glutamine on the days where i eat carbs and i don't want too much water retained because i'm also on a cutting cycle of winny/eq/halo...thnx in advance.. also, at 5'7", 180lbs and 11%BF, how much creatine should i be taking on a maintenance phase? Since you guys are on the Creatine subject, I was wondering about taking Creatine and Fat Burners together?? I take the Fat Burners first thing in the morning and do a little of cardio. Then I have my 1st breakfast, And then I take the Creatine and go and do my workout. What do you think of that????? Any information is appriciated!! Thanks IP: Logged |

I also heard loading is a bunch of bull. Your body can only use so much, and what it doesnt use goes to your kidney's. So when your loading, your just wasting creatine. IP: Logged |

i usually take a 5 gr scoop pre workout and a 5 gr scoop post workout -and 10 gr on off days --drink lots of water--but about that avoiding citrus deal--i heard thats all bull shit .... anyone wanna comment on it? is it true? IP: Logged |

This is what I have been told by Rick Waterson the Head strength coach from the Tennessee Titans and Head of Advocare's R&D department. He has found that loading isn't essential, but does get your levels up a little quicker. He also believes that you should use for a maintanence level about 10% of your lean body mass. So if you are a 225 individual with 15% body fat you should take 19.125g of creatine a day. The big thing that he suggests is that you should try and take multiple does a day. Your big does should be around an hour before working out (5g) and after your workout (another 5g). The rest should be administered throughout the day at 2g servings. He has found this to work really well with his athelets and I have personally tried his formula and it really works. The only thing is he has never tried his formula on body builders, only on football players. I'm not saying it won't work, but I used it when I played college ball with his products. I'm not trying to push Advocare for body building because they are geared towards sports and they are really damn expensive. Around $250 and only around 100g of protein in a day, but they are loaded with aminos. Enough of me babling. Just stuff that I have used. IP: Logged |

NOBU AND THE REST OF YOU GUYS, THE T NAME THAT REDUCES WATER WATER RETENTION IS CALLED TARAXATONE. IT BY CYTODYNE TECHNOLOGIES AND YOU CAN GET IT PRETTY MUCH ANYWHERE. IT IS EXPENSIVE THOUGH, ABOUT 25.00 THE DOSAGE IS USUALLY 3 AM AND 3 MORE AFTERNOON. I USE THES ALOT BEFORE MY MENSTRUAL CYCLE. SHARING TOO MUCH? ANYWAY GOOD LUCK. One reason why Dr. Waterson is big on the 2g dose is because in smaller does your body will absorb more of what you take. he feels that more, smaller does does better that a few big does thru the day. Makes sense because you think about it, when you take creatine your urine starts to change colors and he has done tests that show you piss out what your body does not absorb hence wasting money.
