I have found that drinking a lot of water or warm liquids will do the trick. No calories, take up space and helps lessen water retention problems. [This message has been edited by Vitaman (edited June 13, 2000).] IP: Logged |

Water is the trick also look into a low carb snack like rice cakes and a spoon full of low sodium peanut butter. Hydroxycut or thermo-cuts seem to raise my hungar alittle cuz I'm always on edge when I diet down. If your like me when I'm on edge I want to eat. IP: Logged |

I found to use ephedrine or norephedrine is a natural appetite supressent. I find that when I take adipoK, e/c/a, or lipok my appetite is lowered and I eat less. As well as these all being fat burners helps. IP: Logged |

sex ... well, actually that normally makes me hungry. Try this: get some whole flax seed from your local health food store. Grind up a 1/4 cup in a coffe grinder (will increase to 1/2 cup ground volume) . add some water, and nuke it. This has about 150 calories, and provides the equivalent of 1 TBS of EFA plus some protein. These fats, combined with the fiber from the seeds, fills me up, and helps to prenvent cravings from low calorie meals. IP: Logged |

glutamine will reduce craving for carbs..flax oil will reduce craving for fatty food(french fried, fried chicken...)also you can try st-john wort or prozac(at last resort..but i does work) ephedrine will curb appetite also...increase your protein and fat and cut a little bit on carbs, the goal is to get an even blood sugar so you will be able to avoid feeling hungry! see you:-) IP: Logged |

you are constantly hungry because your blood sugar is out of wack..simple,normalise your blood sugar and you will actually see results in the first 24/hours no joke.. IP: Logged |

Ephedrine is probably the best but caffeine and aminophylline (or theophylline) also works. Protein and Fat keeps your apatite supressed. Carbs makes you hungry. Forget normalising you bloodsugar. That's not true. If you 5 grams of carbs just for neutralizing your body will start secreting NPY (NeuroPeptide Y) and you'll feel as hungry as never before. Forget cabs. Try not eating'em at all and after 5-8hours your hunger will vanish until you eat carbs next time and NPY starts acting. goodluck IP: Logged |

Stay warm, drink hot tea and eat low-calorie soups. Cold induces hunger. Also, start counting your fiber - get over 10g per 1000 cal you eat. Make sure not to drop fat intake bellow 20% of your daily calories - about 25% is good. Less fat will not only drop your natural production of testosterone, it will also turn off the impulses in your brain that tell you you're full. By consuming enough fat (both unsaturated AND saturated - like steak and eggs) you keep anabolic hormones up and allow your body to ward off 'psychological hunger'. IP: Logged |

I know this sounds funny, but it works for me. I have this vegetable juicer, and when I don't want to eat anything, I make a big 8oz glass of turnip juice and slam it down. It tasts absoutely horrible, and it gives me a rush, and I'm not hungry anymore. I guess my stomach is too busy trying to figure out what the hell I just put in it. IP: Logged |

I just read the article (after reading your post) and found that I pretty much super-hydrate all the time, regardless of what diet I'm on. I'm on a CKD now and it helps by lowering blood ketone concentration so more can be produced from body rather than dietary fat. As Lyle McDonald said, you "piss the fat off". Only problem is, you never get a reading on the ketostix when your piss is that diluted (low concentration of everything, including ketones, that's why it's so translucent - looks like the stuff you're full of - WATER!), but I really don't care. Good article though (didn't dig the Biotest propaganda but, oh well). More people could benefit from so-called superhydration, although, like myself, I'll bet many people already superhydrate without knowing the technical term for what they're doing. IP: Logged |
