how come when someone tells me if i ate a high protein low carb and low fat diet, i wont gain muscle weight? i am 200 lbs..so your saying if i ate 350-400 grms of protein, (all my carb and fat calories before my workout, to give me energy to lift very heavy weights,in the 6-10 rep range), i wont build muscle weight? i will b e getting 8-12 hours sleep, heavy weights, low volume, infrequent, heavy duty style type workouts, very high protein, low carb and fat, but taking carb and fat calories plus, energy pills before my workout to lift exttemely weights to failur,to build msucle, would't this be possible, to build muscle weight? Yes it is possible to build muscle when having carbs. You really should have some before and after an intense workout to start to replace you glycogen levels. I consume 1 gram of protein per body pound. I also consume around 25% of my caloric intake from "good" fats (mostly polyunsaturated fats). The rest of my caloric intake comes from carbs. I try to consume most of my carbs several hours prior to going to bed. I have not had any problems with this. Dieting down would be a differnt story than this. IP: Logged |
